I have some things that I thought were absolutely ruined after I pulled them out of the washing machine, but once they were fully dried they were perfect. Velvet can do weird things when it is wet. It may turn out just fine once it's dried - though you might need to give it a good brush. She wore it for church yesterday and got some stuff on it so I gentle 'hand cycle' washed it with woolite and laid it flat to dry. I do this with everything, even things that say 'dry clean only' with great results. the top is a velvet and the bottom is that sort of taffeta looking fabric that is 100 % acetate. It does say dry clean only but I stupidly did not read that first. </p> <p>It is drying all funky as it is air drying....not returning to the beautiful midnight blue color but drying all dark and streaky....is there anything you think I can do?
