LOL Aida! I was just looking at your WIW post. When you and Angie both mentioned the gap selvage jeans, I popped over and took a look. The only pair in the wash I wanted wasn't available in my size or anything near it. I found a non-selvage pair that I'm going to give a try too.

http://www.gap.com/browse/prod.....cale=en_US

Yes, I even caved with the worn out bits.

I swear, I am my Fed Ex and UPS carriers' full employment act. They probably have a truck dedicated to deliveries at my house.

K I haven't really posted any WIWs with my GAP selvage jeans, but you can see 'em here: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....eeve-shape

I bought them in petite because that's all that was left in the wash I wanted, but a longer length would be more ideal. Just so you have an idea of what they look like on a fellow YLFer!

@Una, added to my wishlist.

I now have on order:
5 C/E jeans from Nordstrom (a few types, a few sizes, all sale)
4 jeans from American Eagle
1 jean from Gap
A lotta crazy!!!

Matchsticks turned out to be final sale in all lengths. It didn't show it until I went to put them in my cart. Still....I'm going to drop by my local J Crew and see if they have any in the back that I can try on. They sometimes have secret stashes and the PS and I get on really well, so it is definitely worth a try.

Angie covered my recs! I bought a pair of the Gaps' Selvage jeans to wear as slim BF jeans and am happy with them, though I would prefer a more tapered hem; they are more of a relaxed straight leg than true BF style. The sized up matchsticks were also going to be a recommendation. Hope one of those orders works for you!

I've got a few C/Es on order now and thanks to Tex, a few AE cheapies. Fingers crossed that some of those work! Now off to recheck the matchsticks as possible size ups....

Try Current/Elliott - they started the whole trend, I think. There are a lot of choices out there. I'm a rectangle on the bottom and the SBFs work really well for me, but I'm not concerned about rear fit or my DH's probably low opinion.

I'd try American Eagle straight jeans on sale right now (at least last I looked) for $30. They are 99% cotton I think. My DH liked these so much he suggested I buy another pair. I also wear many of the brands you mentioned. They are jsut slightly baggy in my bigger size and the PERFECT faded blue - to me at least (I wear either an 8 or 10 and opted for 10's in these).

I can only commiserate. I was on the hunt for a full year. The TR Cameron's ended up working for me, but not the first, or even second pair, I tried. Third time was a charm. They are loose, but not baggy. I am on the curvier side, with fuller hips/thighs but they work on Angie, too, who is a straighter hourglass.
Got mine from Denise off eBay so they weren't $$$.
The Vigoss Destroyed jean is my other BF pair but they are ripped so that won't do for you. They are cut much slimmer than other BF's out there so maybe worth a try if you spy a pair with non destroyed wash.

The kicker is that those matchsticks would probably work. They are the right size as a size up and everything. However, zero chance I'm spending $100 on a no-return boyfriend.

@Angie, I have the KFK Angies from last year, which were (I think) one of your picks! I'll look at the TR and CE that you suggested. I know, the no-tears is the hardest bit. I don't know why I'm no friend to the torn look. I'm just not. The weird foibles we have, right?

I was going to suggest the Matchsticks sized up too. High five, Parsley!

Also, which KFK BF jeans to you have - the Catherines?

Are you willing to look at premium denim? If so may I suggest True Religion's Cameron fit. And Current Elliot has some goodies. Have you tried Gaps' Selvage jeans?

What I have found harder than the fit and fabrication, is the lack of distressing!!! Too many tears on BF jeans full stop

I wish I had a great answer for you, but I've had the same problem.

I was going to say the J Crew matchsticks sized up, but it looks like they only have one size available right now, and the wash may not be what you're looking for.
http://www.jcrew.com/womens_ca...../12374.jsp

But in looking through your list of fits that work for you, I like a lot of the same ones that you do, so I'll be curious to see who turns out to be "Mr. Right" for you, and I may try the same ones.

So, I'm so over the top frustrated with my boyfriend jean search that I'm sending out this plea for shopping help. Since last fall, I have been searching for a pair of boyfriend jeans. I love the look, but I'm having an impossible time because I can't find that just right combination for me. Here's what I am looking for:

A sexy boyfriend fit, not a super loose one.
A decent back view.
A true stonewashed, worn denim color.
No tears, holes or too obvious distressing.

I have bought each of the Gap sexy boyfriends as they come out and they've been so close, but not quite. All have been returned. Two highlights: the first pair I bought was almost right in color, but a little yellowed. I was willing to compromise. Brought them home and DH really really did not like them. I don't dress exclusively for him, but if he really hates something, I am 99% of the time willing to accommodate that and not go there. The latest pair that I brought home was a near winner. Gap sexy boyfriend in recycled denim. It got the thumbs up for the back view from DH (a very hard thing for boyfriend jeans). I just didn't love the color, though. In the back of my mind, I really want them to have that worn Levis color. *Sigh*

I'm not a curvy waist/hip girl at all. I'm a rectangle.

Brands/fits that have worked for me in the past:
Gap sexy boyfriend, true straight and always skinny. Sometimes Gap curvy bootcuts.
Banana Republic, sometimes.
JCrew matchsticks and mid-rise toothpicks. Regular toothpicks, not so much.
Kut from Kloth Angie fit cropped skinny boyfriends (even though I can't figure out why they are calling them boyfriends, since there is nothing boyfriendish about them that I can see)
AG Stilt cut jeans.

I'm about to re-purpose my now-roomy KFK Angie cropped jeans as boyfriends, but the problem is that they are so cropped, they really aren't right. So, I need help.

Any ideas for me?
