I take our shirts out of the dryer before they are completely dry, hang them up, and button the top 3 buttons. I fasten a clip (usually a plastic clothespin but I have several other clips that are small and don't create indentations in lightweight fabrics) to any flipping collar point or rolled hem. My life is casual so this is generally enough, but a quick spot-ironing works when a little more polish is called for. I don't aim for perfection these days so am okay with quick, minimal-effort fixes.
ETA: The clip works as a weight on the curled fabric to make it hang straight.

I have had that problem too… and it really annoys me. I think I may try "collar stays", like the ones that come along with my husband's dress shirts. I would first have to have a tailor modify each collar so that stays could be inserted (as I am not a good seamstress). The stays need to be removed before laundering, but they can be reinserted.

I've been frustrated recently by collars on button-down shirts that "curl" at the points, making them look far from "crisp". This seems to happen in particular with chambray shirts. I'm wondering if any of you have found a solution to this. I've tried spray starch, but it doesn't seem to help much. Is it inevitable with less expensive shirts that don't have facing in the collar? Is there anyway to avoid this issue?

thanks.
