I got the pink. It's so pretty. The taupe was nice too, but the flattery difference was too big too ignore. And did I mention the pink was sooo pretty! I also grabbed a black, fluid vneck sweater, and burgundy velvet skinnies. I think these pieces, combined with some of my versatile basics, should cover me for any and all holiday events! I'll do an outfit lab and post some photos when I have some time. Love the thought of that blouse with white jeans Angie! I'll try the pink and the taupe on - I'm leaning pink though because I think it nicely fits my skin-flattery and neutral-esque priorities. Smittie, I hear you on amping up the makeup with the taupe - one of the appealing things about the color is it can accomodate any makeup or nail colors I might try!</p> <p>Angie - I think it will be okay in the warmth department - once it's long-sleeved and has some coverage, I can layer my nude fitted undershirt underneath it, which should make it warm enough, but I often find at parties, with ovens on and lots of people around, it's pretty warm inside. Was going to look at black velvet pants to go with it, but I'll see if they have burgundy - that would also give me more outfits - since I could then pair up the blouse with jeans or my simple black pants, or pair the burgundy velvet with my neutral tops. Now - which colour should I choose? (budget says only one is going to be purchased, sadly!). I've been wearing a good bit of saturated color lately, so neutrals and softer tones are calling to me. What do you think?</p> <ul> <li>vintage wine - a colour I know is good on me</li> <li>pale pink - a nearly neutral with good flattery for my skin tone,  but maybe a bit out of place for the holidays?</li> <li>vintage taupe - likely to be the least flattering from a skin flattery perspective; still a true cool taupe (which I think this might be) is a HEWI for us cool-toned gals, and as a true neutral, I wonder if it might have the most versatility and longevity.
