I changed my mind on the shoes and wore a pair of maroon flat boots that I had forgotten I had. I was worried the heel on the black pair would be too high to dance in. I included a close up of the necklace. It was a fun night. Usually these things are kind of boring, but some close friends were seated at our table and the band was good. They played country music and we two-stepped and did country western swing. It also opens up a lot of possibilities with accesorries , i would ditch the turquoise and go with something beige or rosegold, not necessarily gold but something in that color scheme. I wouldn't suggest this if i didn't think the sleeves on your shirt were so beautiful and royal. I would continue in the royal tone of it all. I'm told it will be similar to last year when the theme was Denim and Diamonds (i wasn't there last year but I've been to this in the past, before it had themes, and people dressed as if for a nice wedding, not black tie as the word "gala" implies). I'm told that people wore blingy jeans, fancy cowboy boots, bolo ties, etc. I've interpreted this as ""fancy cowboy". Considering this is New Mexico this is very easy for many people. However not me! Fancy cowboy is so not my style.</p> <p>I've decided to wear a sheer long white shirt, black jeans, new shoes with a somewhat boot looking toe and a turquoise necklace. Here's a few photos. What do you all think? The white tank grins and I don't really like that. I tried it with a black tank too.
