I cycled like mad in the afternoon heat :-D&nbsp;- it was near 18:00 hrs and I had no idea how long the store was open. And&nbsp;when the guy at the store&nbsp;started removing the phone cover to take the card out I felt really silly -&nbsp;of course they could easily recover the details from the SIM card. No need crack the security code,&nbsp;for police or other complications.</p> <p>I did not mention the phone had the photo of two boys diving into the swimming pool. Poor lady who lost the phone.&nbsp;And there were calls to it about 1.5 hrs after I had found it but the phone was on silent and neither I nor my boy heard it, one of them from - Papa. I hope they feel immense relief after what could not have been easy couple of hours.</p> <p>With everything taken care of now I hope&nbsp;it's lesson learnt for everyone. The problem is the phone language is German and I'm not that good with German - on the way home&nbsp;I had been practicing with my son what to say if someone rings that darn phone. Yeah, 6yo and mum with the teacher-student roles reversed.</p> <p>I have made a decision to take the phone to the mobile operator (I can see the network) and let them try and recover whose it is. Or contact police. The language barrier is too much for me.&nbsp;I guess if there is any,&nbsp;they have a way to go through the code and work from there. It was at the pathway leading from the busy carpark opposite one of the&nbsp;the city swimmingpools.</p> <p>The screen is smashed, but the phone works.&nbsp;</p> <p>My initial reaction was to pick it up and wait until someone calls the number (It's locked by code, so I can't dial any of the existing numbers to inform the person I have the phone.) so I can hand it back. I hate to think how the person who lost it will feel once s/he finds out the phone is not with him or her.</p> <p>But, on the way home I started doubting whether I did the right thing. Perhaps I should have left it there... but&nbsp;at home at least I can keep it charged until someone rings it.</p> <p>What would you do??</p> <p>Should Ii take it back?? Leave it on the sidewalk near where I found it??</p> </p>
