I am loving the practicality of having a watch, especially a white watch with an easy-to-read face. My old silver watch had a metallic face and silver hands without numbers, so it was a little hard to read in dim lighting. The other day I was walking to work in the snow and wanted to see how I was doing on time, and it was *so* much easier not to have to drag out my cell phone as I'm used to doing!</p> <p>Becky, I used to never leave the house without a watch either. These things become such a force of habit. I used to be a watch girl, but unfortunately the pretty, delicate silver watch that I previously had is really tricky to pull apart to change the batteries, even for jewelry stores. So I gave up for a while until this watch caught my eye. I nearly contemplated purchasing it myself at one point, but then started having a lot of carpal tunnel-related wrist pain. </p> <p>Now that my wrists are pain-free again (and I'm not wearing wrist braces all day), Santa remembered my watch lust and snuck this package under the tree.</p> <p>So after a long absence, I am officially rejoining Team Watch. Hooray!</p> <p>(And I may just go to the trouble of getting my other watch battery replaced again, just for old time's sake.) </p>
