For example, I really like the look of soft feminine blouses, skirts and dresses, but in reality I'm much more comfortable in pants -- and when I do wear skirts, they tend to be structured. Just pin whatever you like. From there, I think some patterns will emmerge, and then you can go shopping.</p> <p>You could also try to figure out what your body type is (hourglass, pear, etc.) if you don't already know, and then get some ideas about what looks good on your shape. I'm a Canadian who found this site on Pinterest, I followed a pin down the rabbit hole and ended up here. I'm 43, married, no kids. I've recently sold my business of 16 years and after wearing a uniform (and by uniform I mean polyester &amp; steel toed boots, not like cute Westjet uniform!) for 16 years and then hiding behind the excuse that I can't have style because I wear a uniform, I can honestly say I am utterly lost, never in my life have I lacked direction as I do now. I am now on a mission to figure out what basics I need to buy, how to wear them, what color am I (I don't even know what that means) what's my personal style and then to enter a mall and not let my anxiety about shopping send me scurrying to the nearest bookstore for refuge. I feel like this site is great place to start and I welcome any advice! </p>
