I can't tell you how appreciative I am! I feel like I am on track to finding the right pair! I added a pic of the "wrinkly boot" This is boot #4. This is why I was going to return them &amp; see if I can find something similar but perhaps a little better quality? The reviews were all pretty good so I wonder if I just got a bad pair &amp; should try &amp; exchange, so I still get the great NAS price. Otherwise I am starting over. I prefer boots to hot have that big of a gap around the leg once they are on. It isnt' always easy finging narrower shaft boots, but they are out there... and when the shaft fits correctly it makes for a much more chic looking outfit IMO.<br /> #3 looks like it fits better folded down, and I actually like the height better there, so those might be keepers.<br /> #7 look good<br /> #8 again look a bit big and tall<br /> #9... love both the boots and the coat!</p> <p>Like I said, it isnt' easy finding narrower cut boots, but they ARE out there. My favorites of the bunch are in Photos 7 and 9. The boots in Photo 7, I think are actually a very good height for your shape. While it's true that they hit at the wide part of the calf, I have found, as a pear myself, that highlighting this area can create an optical illusion of straighter leg proportions overall. Among the others, the boots in Photo 1 are pretty good, they have a shape that works well for you. The boots in 5&amp;6 are better than the ones in 2&amp;3. But honestly, if you can stomach it, I would vote for a pass on all of the new ones and keep looking. Try more "high ankle" boots.
