Love that beach. Have spent a LOT of time there.  One day in HK. WOW. I don't know where to begin. You need 2 months. Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and the Peak. Must do the promenade at night - or take a night cruise on the harbour. Take the MTR. We have done a lot to keep busy mixed in with a lot of beaches and family, a perfect mix. Crutcher, I would bring you along as a nanny in a heartbeat but I doubt DS would hear of it, he's way too independent! He's been traveling since he was a wee baby and very used to it, lucky little guy. And it's very educational, he's seen a lot of the world. Jules, my thoughts exactly. I was leaning towards the Harbour, the market and maybe the Peak, but since I haven't been to HK in at least ten years I'm waiting to hear what Angie suggests first. We aren't ones to do touristy things, but I do love the market and the Harbour! Sit at Victoria Harbour (Kowloon side) and watch traditional boats go past the modern cityscape. Maybe your son would enjoy the outdoor escalators at mid-level? The weather is glorious, the beaches are beautiful as always and it's lovely to be back here, power outages and all. Angie (and all), we need your suggestion please. We have decided to re-route our trip home via Hong Kong, so we'll have a full day (and an overnight) in HK. Hubby and I haven't been in years, and I can't wait for my 10 yr old DS to see the city. He's an awesome little traveller and he'll love it, but I'm trying to figure out how to pack as much flavor into one day as possible. If you had just one day to see HK, how would you spend it?
