We camped 15 miles from home last weekend, and it was great - I was able to run home on Saturday to service the cats (and - shhh - take a shower!) We've been driving up to a couple of hours away to various parks to day hike since spring, and rediscovered this regional park where our boys camped as Scouts. Stayed extraordinarily close to home this year and had a great time. All these years driving and driving, and this was maybe the nicest place I’ve ever camped. Who knew?
