I just found YLF and have been poring over all of Angie's blog posts for the past few days (needless to say I haven't gotten through them all!). The info and advice here is just fantastic.</p> <p>Here's my first question, and it's a big one: I know I desperately need to make over and update my style (especially my work style), but where and how do I start?</p> <p>I just purged my closet of everything that was old/unflattering/stretched or worn out. Now I have about 5 pairs of black pants, 2 cardigans, one sleeveless blouse, and 3 dresses. Plus a bunch of random t-shirts and stuff that's not work-appropriate.</p> <p>The irony? I work in a fashion and beauty-centric business, but I feel clueless about clothes. A bit about me: I'm 38, married with a 15-month-old daughter, and I work full time. In terms of style, I'd say I gravitate toward modern classic; I'm a pear body shape (5'6", about 150 lbs).</p> <p>I would welcome any and all advice on how to start figuring out how to make myself over and acquiring great clothes that make me look, well, FAB and feel confident.
