The underside grips the insole and the top has a gel cushion that adds volume inside the shoe and massages your heel as you walk. If so they will take them back (probably). If not I would still take them back with the socks you plan to wear them with and go to see the sock gals. They know more about socks and shoe pads than I ever imagined.<br /> Do you mind telling us what brand and style they are?
