I agree they look goofy. The only reason I'm willing to consider them is that the dress is long and the outdoor portion of the event is short. But the fact that they slide off is pretty problematic and a major strike against them. So it's time to think about shoes! The ceremony will be outdoors, so wedges might be the most practical (but a quick search tells me the options in the size and color I need will be limited). Flats could work if I find some that are dressy enough. But I'm wondering if any of have tried heel guards on stilettos. Do they work?
