I have narrow heels so have this problem quite often. I agree with Jenava--try ball of foot cushions first. I think those work better than the heel pads.

Try foot petals. They are not nearly as wide as traditional heel cushions. Apparently they aren't on Nordstrom.com by themselves, but you can see what they look like:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3110436

Or, have you thought about trying a ball-of-foot cushion? This might help keep your foot from sliding forward and therefore fix the heel slippage issue?

I often have the same heel slippage issue and the foot petals work well; they don't take up too much room and if you place them along the top edge of the heel of the shoe they leave enough room for your heel while gripping your achilles tendon/ankle area, if that makes sense...

they don't solve EVERY heel sllippage shoe for me, but they do help if the shoe slips only a little.

Maya, it's a little too far back. It's a strange shoe, because it looks like a pump but the back part being detached feels strange. It's probably just me being weird because my feet don't feel secured in the shoe. It feels more like a mule. Still, they're incredibly comfortable and works for my basically square feet, so I'd really like to give them a try. Thanks for the help!

The back is quite thick so it should work. I'm surprised the strap doesn't hold your foot in though. Is it not far back enough?

I need to know if they will work for my Tsubo Acreas before I return them. The shoes are great except for the heel slippage. But the back of the shoe is, not open, but a very wide detached strap. Will a heel gripper work for this shoe?

Believe it or not, I own no other shoes with heels due to fussy and weird-sized feet, so I am a heel novice.
