				<description>&#060;p&#062;I got a Fitbit too! &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I've been pretty active, but I guess my eating has not been stellar, because I think my weight is a little up -- some clothes from last summer are a teensy bit snug. I'm wondering what is up with my belly -- I was hoping it would go back to it's usual flatness after my abdominal surgery in May, but it's stubbornly poochy (at least for what my tummy normally does). &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I've been riding my bike for the last couple of weeks -- at least 3 days a week. I even bought two more sets of biking clothes so laundry is never an excuse to not bike. I hadn't ridden in a couple of years, so I'd almost forgotten how much I enjoy it. I'm riding about 12-13 miles (around an hour) each time I ride, but on weekends I like to go for 20+.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Today I grocery shopped and really focused on veggies and healthy stuff. Trying to cut out sugar.

&#060;p&#062;My goal this week is to try to keep walking! I've realized I love it and my BF commented that my stomach looked smaller. Yay for small victories.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I found an quick 10 minute workout on pinterest that was fairly fun. I'm going to try it for the week (we'll see how many times I do it) and hopefully it will work.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Still inching downward--literally by the inch. &#038;nbsp;This week I could wear pants that I haven't fit into for months. &#038;nbsp;Great relief. &#038;nbsp;I did have a couple of 10,000 steps days as well. &#038;nbsp;Right now, mid-afternoon, I'm up to 4681, thanks to grocery shopping. &#038;nbsp;Now that I think about it, I have succeeded in banishing refined sugar and starches from my eating--I should be able to make it the rest of the way.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;This week I want to increase walking and continue to work on posture exercises, which I have let slip away somehow. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;dianthus--it is amazing how sensitive our bodies can be to a certain type food and gain 2-3 pounds nearly overnight. &#038;nbsp; I find that it gets worse as I get older. &#038;nbsp; My hope is that keeping track with a food diary will help identify the food that is going to trigger a short term gain, usually on the belly, so that I don't get discouraged by a sudden gain. &#038;nbsp;I know there are folks who can go without ever weighing, or who weigh once a week, but that doesn't work for me anymore. &#038;nbsp;

&#060;p&#062;Citygirl, that is one ambitious plan.&#038;nbsp; Nice to see you are back on track and look forward to seeing your WIWs again.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have been motivated by my fitbit.&#038;nbsp; I logged 20000 steps and almost 10 miles yesterday.&#038;nbsp; We golfed a very long 9 holes in the morning and then went for a long walk late afternoon.&#038;nbsp; According to my calories in and out, I should have lost 2 lbs during the week but in reality it was only .5 lb.&#038;nbsp; I am going to re-weigh tomorrow since I at a few cups of watermelon last night and that has a tendency to cause a temporary weight gain.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;We are talking about what to do in the winter to keep up the increased activity.&#038;nbsp; It is not an option for me to go out in anything colder than -20 because I don't like the cold at all.&#038;nbsp; My son was supposed to bring me his treadmill but hasn't yet.&#038;nbsp;

&#060;p&#062;This summer has been particularly bad for me since the weather has been very warm. I was not very motivated in terms of exercise and ended up gaining a few pounds, hence the cessation of&#038;nbsp;shopping and WIW photos. I just didn't feel good about myself.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;But now that cooler weather has appeared, I've began to exercise and get back on track with my eating habits. &#038;nbsp;I've lost 2.6 lbs. from last week's weigh in and feel great. &#038;nbsp;My goal is to lost 2-4 lbs. by October 4th weekend (my dh's parent's 50th anniversary) and I think it can be done if I put my mind to it.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Exercise plans for the week:&#060;br /&#062;Sun: run 5 &#038;nbsp;miles&#060;br /&#062;Mon: bike to work (6 miles total), HIIT class, BLONDIE CONCERT&#060;br /&#062;Tue: Run 5 miles, take boot camp class&#060;br /&#062;Wed: break&#060;br /&#062;Thu: &#038;nbsp;Run 5 miles, take HIIT class,&#060;br /&#062;Fri: Run 5 miles&#060;br /&#062;Sat: Weigh in.

&#060;p&#062;I am officially one week out from a small outpatient surgery that went spectacularly well but has nevertheless kicked my backside rather thoroughly.&#038;nbsp; My activity this week has been limited to &#060;a href=&#034;http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/circumambulate?s=t&#034; rel=&#034;nofollow&#034;&#062;circumambulating&#060;/a&#062; the Bachelorette Pad and trying to stand up straight.&#038;nbsp; The good news is my weight is WAY down after several days of eating virtually nothing!&#038;nbsp; LOL&#060;/p&#062;
