&#060;p&#062;MaryK, glad to hear you are healing.&#038;nbsp; In my experience the healing process starts out slowly and then once it starts, it is exponential.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I was good about both food and activity last week.&#038;nbsp; In total I am down about 8.5 lbs and have another 12 or so to go.&#038;nbsp; I got the cracked heels under control about a month ago but the right one split again last night.&#038;nbsp; I received a number of suggestions for products here but went to 4-5 stores and looked and came up empty.&#038;nbsp; I ordered some Gehwol cream online last week and should get it by the end of the week and hope it is as good as the reviews.&#038;nbsp; In the meantime, I put on coconut oil and wrapped the heels in plastic wrap for the night.&#038;nbsp; &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;It is getting cool here too.&#038;nbsp; I went out walking yesterday at about 10:00am and it was only 8C.&#038;nbsp; It was windy but the sun was shining so I managed a little over 5 miles.&#038;nbsp; Back to work today though.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I maintained this week, which is good.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;DH had carpal tunnel surgery on his left hand Friday--he was stressed and so was I. &#038;nbsp;I don't know why, this is the 3rd surgery this surgeon has done on his hands, fingers, and she always does an excellent job. &#038;nbsp;He had a series of freak accidents after he retired--actually he narrowly avoided a 4th surgery. &#038;nbsp;He still has to have the surgery on his right hand. Wait--that's just his hands--there was the twig poked in his eye and major surgery to repair a misbehaving prior major surgery, with 18 ERCPs in between. &#038;nbsp;And two sepsis emergencies.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;How many football games can one person watch in one weekend and not go start raving mad? &#038;nbsp;And the 49ers game still hasn't begun. &#038;nbsp;Thank goodness for the America's Cup to provide a side show. &#038;nbsp;At least it keeps him on the sofa with his hand up on pillows. &#038;nbsp;No typing until Tuesday.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Oh, he finally went back to work after failing retirement. &#038;nbsp;He's safer there.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;So I'm happy to have maintained weight despite not getting nearly the number of steps I usually get. &#038;nbsp;Maybe I'll get some shopping steps in this week.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I went to the gym this morning for the first time in a very long time, probably over a month. Although I've been hiking a lot this summer, which is great for my cardiovascular I've neglected my core. Had trouble doing my ab routine today. I was a shaky mess 30 seconds into the plank.&#060;br /&#062;I did go to the doctor to get checked out after being rear-ended. My blood pressure was 106/68 and my heart rate was 61 bpm. Which is great because high blood pressure runs in both sides of my family.

&#060;p&#062;I'm feeling better all the time but my energy is still super low.&#038;nbsp; One or two errands and I'm done for the day.&#038;nbsp; I saw my surgeon on Thursday and he was pleased with my progress and took out the surgical drains and remaining stitches, which was HUGE!!&#038;nbsp; &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Goals for the week include doing some upper-body/coordination drills with my tennis balls, and doing some walking, and trying to keep the food under control.

&#060;p&#062;I'm happy to say that my headaches have gotten much, much better over the past few weeks. Yay!&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I didn't quite make my goals of walking and workout video because I've been extremely tired this whole week. I'm not sure if it's my body getting use to not being so stressed or getting sick, but hopefully next week will be better. I'm also going to try to mediate for 10 minutes every day.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;What are your goals for the week?
