gardenchick - I have used it (from YLF recommendations). It's not bad, though I got lazy about measuring etc, so it wasn't much use to me - I have a pretty good idea about calories, check packets etc already but if you didn't it could be a good resource.

Well done to all of you this week!! Especially MsMaven.

I have a cold last week, as didn't exercise between a 5km run on Mon and a 9km run on Sunday. But I have done 2 x 5km (treadmill) runs already this week, the second just a few minutes ago, and with a PB (24:25)

I plan to enter a 10km face this weekend, though I haven't actually run 10 km in some months (maybe years) My longterm aim is to do one in less than an hour, but I may not make that this time.

Food wise, I cut out sugar for this week. Last week, with no exercise and with the sudden onset of rainy colder weather and the accompanying boost to hunger levels, I had gone up to the top of 'my" weight range. Now I am back down to the middle.

Anyone familiar with myfitnesspal app? It is a way of tracking diet and exercise, I've been playing around with it a bit...

Last week went well. I exercised 5x with cardio and strength training, but the eating habits are still hard to control although I'm trying. Sunday, we had the 45 mile bike ride in NYC and used my HRM to determine my calories burned. I burned about 1500 calories so we splurged on pizza and wine. It's back on track this week although I keep saying that every week. LOL!!

Ms Maven, well done. I had an ok week. Got forced to work an extra shift so I missed one of my workouts.

Haha, K! I love it. Mostly onward & upward this week for me, too. I did go on walks every day, which was good.

Let's see--four workouts, including running 3x and one cardio sculpt at the gym. I did skip one workout on Thurs- I had a hard time getting away at lunch.

It was my birthday this week so I did consume a lot of chocolate cake!

Now that I made it through the birthday celebrations, I'm thinking about being more mindful in my eating, and especially cutting back on sweets and carbs.

One more thing I should mention: I've hiked up all my bra straps by half to 3/4 inch. The girls aren't so heavy and I can do this without agony. That's a half inch further up from my belly--hooray.

Good week. In the last 2 weeks I've lost 3 pounds--at last. I can button/zip everything in my closet, although some tight things aren't wearable out of the house. Kept up with exercising--almost overdid it and needed to slow down a bit. I've added more posture exercises.

And no wine this week. DH did bring home part of a box of Swiss chocolates a client had brought in. He passed them around the office but left enough for me, although it is killing him for me to be so good and only eat one a day. (70 calls each.)

Next week I will continue with exercising, and keep up with the exercise plan. Now that I'm getting closer to my goal I know it will be harder, but the motivation is greater as I succeed. It has taken me a long time to get to this point though.

Oh, and I put a couple of pair of pants in the donate pile and some soon to be too big skirts will soon follow.

I had one missed workout, too. I got rained out of my lap swim yesterday. I could have dodged the storms on my bike, but it was a cold snap and I wasn't motivated to get out in the low 60's when it's going to be over 85 today until fall lol. So I sipped wine instead. oops. Not even a full bottle over the whole afternoon, and I was pretty good with my food, so not a total loss. Onward and upward.
It's Sunday gym day with BF. Then 2x each run, swim, bike for the remainder of the week.
On the food front, I realize I need to watch my starchy carbs again, despite doing a lot more cardio. They bloat me up when I have too much. I can handle a moderate amount, about 40 or 45% of my calories. Once I get over 150g or so I start to look puffy.
Oh, and let's see if I can do 3 or more pull ups at 15lb counter balance today. If so, I will brave the 10lb next week.

Is it inappropriate to start this post saying "May the 4th be with you?" :)

How was last week for everyone?

Mine went pretty well. I missed a workout, but it was due to a migraine. I've finally learned that when I get one, I need to rest and take it easy. For all of those who also get migraines, have you tried drinking gatorade during it? It's not like a magic bullet for me, but it seems to help make it a bit more bearable.

My goals for the week are to keep up with my workouts and to keep trying to fix my gut.

What are your goals for the week?
