				<description>&#060;p&#062;Well. I'm trying. I've only been home a week since surgery, so I'm *trying* really hard to be patient with myself.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I don't have a huge appetite yet, so my eating is under control for now. I do wish we had more healthy food in the house. I asked hubs to get some veggies and fruit at the grocery store yesterday, but he hasn't gotten around to it yet. He did get me a fruit smoothie yesterday, which I had been craving for days!&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I walked 1.25 miles this morning. I guess that's something. I'll do it again later in the afternoon when there is more shade in my neighborhood (temps are going into the 90s today).&#038;nbsp;Coming from the girl who ran 10x that far just a few short weeks ago, it feels a little pathetic, but I keep reminding myself I just had a major organ removed.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have a case of swelly belly so all of my clothes feel and look awful. I know it will go away eventually, but it's hard to feel good when I not only feel tired and sore but look dumpy too.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I am working to keep this all in perspective. I know it just *feels* like I've slid backwards all of a sudden, and in the long run, I will feel much better than I did before. It just takes time.&#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Okay, I have to toot my own horn a little.&#038;nbsp; My trainer cancelled our session yesterday so to make up for it I went to boot camp TWICE today - once at 6 a.m. and once at 6 p.m.&#038;nbsp; Surprisingly enough, I not only lived to tell the tale, but I felt better and stronger during the second session!&#038;nbsp; Yay!!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Made it to Boot Camp 4 times last week and felt great.&#038;nbsp; Recovery was so much easier than it used to be - I mean, I was actually able to function the rest of the day!&#038;nbsp; (Big Step!)&#038;nbsp; Eating much better - have really cut back on the Milk Duds (my major downfall) - in fact, I didnt' have any last week!&#038;nbsp; Woot!&#038;nbsp; Found our scale - it had been in the garage for the last 3 years - so, I brought it into the house.&#038;nbsp; I've never been one to monitor my weight because I don't fluctuate much - so, I didn't bother to weigh myself this time either.&#038;nbsp; However, I did measure my waist and hips - AND, I've lost 2 1/2 inches off of my waist, and 1 1/2 inch off of my hips!&#038;nbsp; I am beginning to get back the body that I had pre-menopause!&#038;nbsp; That makes me so happy!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Being admittedly pretty lazy so far. &#038;nbsp;My double racked up 20,000 steps and I got some swelling from over 12 hours on my feet. &#038;nbsp;Took it easy yesterday and only did a plank for good measure  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-wink icon-emoticon-wink "></span>  &#038;nbsp; Got out the weighted hula hoop, but BF swooped in and I lost interest after his 5 minutes with it. &#038;nbsp;Will hoop today before bowling. &#038;nbsp;Running tomorrow - it's supposed to break 70! &#038;nbsp;whoop!!&#060;br /&#062;In a grander sense, I need to switch focus to getting back and&#038;nbsp;staying in goal range to keep my wardrobe fitting well and looking good this year. &#038;nbsp;I hope to shift away from buying for a few months and just getting more toned up for what I already own.  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-smile icon-emoticon-smile "></span>  &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;8 hour drive to Ottawa Friday with sons in tow. Saturday pm ran in the 10k. Getting a little slower every year, but felt great during the run and no trouble with recovery.  Meant to stay away from sporting good stores, but got gear anyway--2 pair running shoes At the Running Room.  Visited with my mother, who kept trying to get me to eat ice cream, but was able to remain virtuous.  I did treat myself to a Starbucks cafe mocha (no whip) each day I was in the Big City.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Got back yesterday, and managed to be organized enough to ride my bike to work in the am, and return in the pm (40k) today.  Had swimming tonight, but coach suggested easy laps.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Easy recovery run planned for tomorrow, and maybe another ride to work Thursday, run followed by core workout with Evil Kevin Friday, swim on Saturday.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I managed to get 2 free weight sessions in - only 20 mins. each but hey, at least I did it. I also did a couple of long hikes (usual). I really need to work on the tummy toning as I age - I hate doing ab work. I'm also trying to cut back a bit on calories - not exactly counting, but I try to go for one slice of bread instead of two, one egg instead of two, skip the cheese, no snacks after 8 pm, etc. I don't even own a scale as&#038;nbsp; I've never monitored my weight like that (everyone fluctuates a pound or two in any given day or even morning vs. night sometimes)- I just see in the mirror and feel how clothes fit.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I am going to focus on maintaining, rather than bouncing up and down the same pound or two all week.&#060;br /&#062;Ran last week. &#038;nbsp;Played with my new weighted hula hoop. &#038;nbsp;Fun! &#038;nbsp;Busy at work with the holiday weekend, which means extra steps and less time to stuff my face lol. &#038;nbsp;First double working both jobs tomorrow. &#038;nbsp;Will see how that goes. &#038;nbsp;7am start is the worst part of it, ha ha. &#038;nbsp;Thinking a nap between.&#060;br /&#062;Hoping to run again on my days off midweek and keep wine intake moderate.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Good week!&#038;nbsp; I made it to the gym five times (three boot camps, two trainer sessions) plus tap class.&#038;nbsp; Trainer Dave is totally kicking my butt these days, which I love.&#038;nbsp; I moved to a new job site just half a mile from home, so I went home for lunch a few days this week, which saved me both calories and money!&#038;nbsp; Yay!&#038;nbsp; My weight yesterday was just under 120, so I'm a happy girl.&#060;/p&#062;
