				<description>&#060;p&#062;Ran today...only my second of the week.  Yes it's been a bad week.  I went outside again, we have had snow now that actually stuck around.  The weather was fine, but the mechanics of running on an icy road while pushing a chariot are tough.  I really want to run through the winter outside at least sometimes.  I'm thinking about getting some cold weather gear but I don't know, I wish they had running shoes made for ice!  Some cleats or something!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;so jealous of you runners and the half marathon as well!  It's snow and ice here and no treadmill  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-sad icon-emoticon-sad "></span>   I did use our home gym this morning and get in one set of 15 of most exercises.  It's a start.&#060;br /&#062;
I'm actually down weight since the drive.  But I know it's not all good since I basically sat in a car for 12+ hours a day.  Hence the weights.  But I miss running.  Really miss it.  Guess my running around work will have to suffice.  I start in 9 days.  Weights until then.  And flights of stairs in our condo.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;My week started on Saturday with a loss of 1.4 lbs.  Yay for me!!!    I ended up running my long run of 6 miles since I'm training for the Rock and Roll Half Marathon (Janet, are you running this race??) in March here in DC. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I realize much of my weight loss comes from cardio and watching what I eat. I hope to lose the 5 lbs. I gained during Thanksgiving and get back on track for the New Year.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;My weekly goals are: eat less, drink 8 glasses of water a day, limit my caffeine and sweeteners, and eat more protein.  EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE!!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Ah but Janet, you get the residual burn from the increased metabolism so you are way ahead of the game.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I did 30 minutes on the treadmill but walked quickly and put it at 5% incline for about 1/3.  I don't have a cat now but years ago I had one that would go for a walk with me in the evenings.  It was very funny.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;This is my first week joining in on this thread in a long time.  I weighed myself this morning and am hoping to lose 4 - 5 pounds in the 4 weeks before I leave for vacation.  I just did a short weight workout.  I did incline DB bench press (3 sets), pulldowns, leg extensions, shoulder press, and deadlifts.  I was surprised at how quickly it goes when lifting alone.  I think I finished in just over 20 minutes.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I ate shrimp for lunch and took out salmon for supper.  I am going to shoot for 1200-1400 calories a day with lots of fruits &#038;amp; veggies and lean protein.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have a goal. I just have to be very careful since this is THE hardest time of year to watch what you eat.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Thanks for starting the thread this morning Laurinda.  You motivated me to move.  I will try to put in 30 minutes on the treadmill walking 4 mph on an incline this afternoon.
