				<description>&#060;p&#062;I'd never heard of that fasting routine before, but I naturally kind of gravitate towards that. I wake up early, so I tend to have coffee first thing and breakfast a little later, and. I'm perfectly fine with eating dinner at 6pm if my schedule allows. Like texstyle, I try to brush my teeth after dinner because it reduces my tempatation to snack after dinner.  I really don't like to eat dinner late in the evening.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Tex, I eat dinner around 8 or 8:30 and then have coffee when I awake and delay breakfast until 10 or 10:30. &#038;nbsp;The jury is still out, but I think it's helping. &#038;nbsp;Of course, what works for some, doesn't for others. &#038;nbsp;I have some friends that lost a LOT of weight on Medifast and now use the 5:2 plan to keep up with it in real life situations with real life food. &#038;nbsp;I could never stick to 500 calories for a whole day. &#038;nbsp;On the other hand, I can delay breakfast an hour and not be put out  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-wink icon-emoticon-wink "></span>  &#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Late to report but I did manage to get two 40 min. hikes in this week and one weight workout so far (another one tomorrow). Been eating pretty normally though I need to cut out more carbs (breads) more.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Mo, I've read about intermittent fasting recently too. Apparently it can be helpful for some people suffering serious illness too (cancer, etc.). I'd like to try it myself. I guess if I could eat by 6 pm each night and do regular 8 am breakfast that would do it, right? I wonder if it's nearly the same if you do 13.5 hours. 6 pm is&#038;nbsp;just a&#038;nbsp;bit early for dinner sometimes.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I find that if I brush/floss my teeth after dinner I am much less likely to snack again (as I have to do the brush/floss all over again). &#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Good job on signing up Rae! &#038;nbsp;I did the walk and the run mostly because I was driving myself crazy just sitting here. &#038;nbsp;I took kleenex stuffed into my running skirt lol. &#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;Marley, I'm experimenting with intermittent fasting, IF for short. &#038;nbsp;There are a few different ways to go about it, but I'm spreading my dinner and next day's breakfast 14 hrs apart. &#038;nbsp;The idea is to get your body out of digesting mode and into using it's own fat as fuel instead of the glycogen easily attainable from recent food. &#038;nbsp;I'm seeing weigh ins finally under 120 after really struggling this last few months with a few extra pounds. Bodyfat readings are down slightly. My torso feels more slim and toned, as well. &#038;nbsp;Continuing through the whole month to see where I end up. &#038;nbsp;Will report back!

I did run yesterday (with walking breaks) but I'm still sick and even the walk to the store today took a lot out of me. &#038;nbsp;Bah humbug. &#038;nbsp;I had lunch out Sunday and will have an extra day off with BF Friday, so my intake is likely to be up, while my output is down. &#038;nbsp;Uh oh. &#038;nbsp;I did have a good weigh in this morning, so maybe the overnight fasting is saving me. &#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I haven't been able to exercise since having my foot surgery, but my doctor just OK'd me to go back to Pilates, and I'm looking forward to going tomorrow night. I was worried that I would gain weight, but I have been careful about what I eat and so far, so good. One week and two days until I can (hopefully) get rid of Frankenboot, and then it's back to the gym I go!

&#060;p&#062;Well, let's just say that even though I have been thoroughly enjoying my time in Texas, it's not been the best for my waistline. I'm pretty active every day with lots of walking, but I haven't been for a run since I got here (too muddy on the ranch, and too dangerous on the rural country roads). And the food! Ack, east Texas is all about meat and potatoes. We're talking deep fried turkey for Thanksgiving and lots of pie. Right now I am at a deli enjoying a mediterranean wrap with veggies and hummus to try to counteract all the Thanksgiving indulgence. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I start driving home tomorrow, so later this week I'll be back to my more normal, relatively healthier routine!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Tough week at work, so blew off Thursday's workout.  Otherwise a good week for workouts and nutrition.  Had the toughest swim since getting back in the pool in October, on Tuesday (anaerobic, VO2 max stuff), and finished the week off with a triathlon specific spin class (2hrs).  Felt a little smug during the after session stretching 'cause I had the greatest flexibility (Thank you Evil Personal Trainer Kevin) even though I am the oldest person there.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have a 1 hr session with Kevin on Monday night to review one of my weight training routines (I rotate through 3!). Haven't been under scrutiny since August.  Hope I'll be able to walk on Tuesday!&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Did some baking, but after a care package to DS #2 at uni and then DS #1 cleaned me out for an I impromptu pot luck at his work.  DH has been making sad eyes at me, so I think I'll make some Empire Cakes using his Mom's recipe.

&#060;p&#062;Exercise was fine.&#038;nbsp; Did my two trainer sessions and three boot camp classes including one on Thanksgiving morning, which is a tradition I just love.&#038;nbsp; And in other healthy living news, I had last week off and got a lot of medical appointments out of the way including the eye doctor and the gynecologist.&#038;nbsp; So I'm feeling very accomplished in that regard!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I haven't ever joined the HH threads before, but it's tiiiiime. I went to a Zumba class with our friend on Thanksgiving morning and had fun... but I was one of the youngest &#060;i&#062;and&#060;/i&#062; most out of shape women there. Really embarrassing. I could do the workout fine, but the look of my body really bothered me when shown in spandex in front of those big mirrors. I guess in my head I was still expecting my 19-year-old look, from the last time I was in front of dance mirrors like that.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;SO. After some crazy days at work, I was able to do some pilates last night and job a bit this morning. Almost too shamefully little to mention, but there it is.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;And I have realized I cannot rely on DH to workout with me at night, which is when my body really likes to move. So I'll have to figure this out. Either I will have to go on my own in the morning or put some $$ into classes of some kind. Sort of interested in adult gymnastics, but a little intimidated.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I can't believe it's December! &#038;nbsp;I had a bust of a week. &#038;nbsp;Caught a cold and everything went by the wayside. &#038;nbsp;My last run was Sunday a week ago. I felt good enough to actually leave the house and walk to the store yesterday after a week on the couch.&#038;nbsp;&#038;nbsp;And I finally tried push ups yesterday, doing a measly 5 ha. &#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;I did keep up with my 14 hr overnight fasting window and am happy to say I'm staying consistently&#038;nbsp;under 120. &#038;nbsp;Seems to be working for me. &#038;nbsp;We went out for Thanksgiving, so no leftovers to tempt us and no overload of food in general. &#038;nbsp;Mostly a normal week, food wise.&#060;br /&#062;This week I want to get back to my running and push ups schedule every 3rd day. &#038;nbsp;Still not well, so I will be easing back into it starting with some push ups today.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
