				<description>Kristin, I so hope the migraines clear off a bit. &#060;br /&#062;&#060;br /&#062;As for active lifestyle ] updates, last week I did manage 5 bike commute round trips (8 mi ea) plus two swims and two runs. This week has been lousy weather so far and my bike is in for repair so I am going to call it a resting week before hopefully being able to return to biking more next week. &#060;br /&#062;</description>

				<description>I'm going on a beach trip with my nieces, sisters, and sister-in-law in three weeks, so I'm motivated! &#038;nbsp;Shooting for Zumba twice a week, weights three times per week, and at least one yoga session.&#060;br /&#062;&#060;br /&#062;But honestly exercise is never a problem for me. &#038;nbsp;Cutting back on cheese, chocolate, and wine will be tougher! &#038;nbsp;</description>

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I need to get my bike tuned up so I can start bike commuting to work and back again. I am laid low this weekend with a wretched cold (I am up now because I can't sleep) and I really hope I am feeling better later this morning because I have too much to do this week!&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I did manage a walk down to the duck pond with our son, which was nice, and I took stock of the garden too. Next weekend the heavy work begins!

				<description>Kristin, hope you find a way to get the migraines under control!&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;&#060;br /&#062;I am getting ready for a local 10 mile race next weekend (it's a very popular hilly run that I have never done; I am hoping not to be the last runner on the course). &#038;nbsp;I signed up as a way to motivate myself and even though I wish I had more time to train, I was glad to do some hill runs over the last few weeks.&#060;br /&#062;&#060;br /&#062;Found a new podcast to listen to while running - &#034;Another Mother Runner&#034;. &#038;nbsp;The first 5 minutes are a bit annoying (chitchat about the authors' families etc.) but they have good speakers on and fun interviews (I listened to a dermatologist give tips on skin care for runners + she is a mother of 3 young kids and a marathon runner; they also had Cara Goucher on (an Olympic runner)&#038;nbsp;and other interesting interviewees.&#060;br /&#062;&#060;br /&#062;Oh, and I just noticed that they do a &#034;footwear shot&#034; (similar to YLF meet ups) where everyone is wearing sneakers.</description>

				<description>I did a LOT of walking on my New Orleans trip. &#038;nbsp;Over 118,000 steps for the week. &#038;nbsp;But I did a lot of eating of rich foods, too. &#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;I'm cutting back on starchy stuff and wine to drop the vacation bloat.&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;This next week is all about getting out and running and hitting my home gym.I need to do each at least once a week minimum so they are a routine before I get really busy with both jobs. &#038;nbsp;&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;Overall, I have 2 to 3 pounds I'd still like to ditch in the coming weeks.</description>

I have to say I too have been start stop with my fitness too as I've been having bad headaches which are partly due to sinus, but I am also convinced I have some upper neck vertebre problems and I'm taking myself off to a physio tomorow to see it it can be tweaked. However having been headache free today I did do a 40 minute workout of cardio and weights. So at least I'm keeping my hand in. &#060;br /&#062;I do hope you can get your migraines under control soon, good luck.</description>

Unfortunately, I can't use beta blockers because I'm&#038;nbsp;asthmatic&#038;nbsp;and beta blockers somehow prevent&#038;nbsp;asthma medications from working. I'm not sure I want to trade one problem for another lol. :)&#060;br /&#062;&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;</description>

				<description>Good luck with the migraines, Kristin!&#038;nbsp; I have had great luck combining a low dose of Topamax with a low dose of a beta blocker (propranalol in my case) for migraine prevention.&#038;nbsp; Works better than either one on its own.&#038;nbsp; You might want to mention that to your doc if the Topamax alone doesn't do the trick!&#060;br /&#062;&#060;br /&#062;I had a good exercise week (5 days at the gym plus a tap class) but struggled with my food.&#038;nbsp; It's hard not to eat everything in sight when I'm here by myself in the evening.&#038;nbsp; Hoping to do better in the coming week!&#060;br /&#062;</description>
