This has been a busy week for me and at last I am almost where I was before I started eating hot cross buns. (A local grocery chain, Draegers, makes the most wonderful buns I've ever had. It's not far from the hospital and clinic where we go, so with my husband' surgery right at the beginning of the pre-Easter season, I've had many excuses to stop in the store for a new supply.)

I've managed to banish almost all the dangerous snacks from the house and have refrained from buying more of them. Now I'm motivated to keep on track--we have a trip coming up in a few weeks.

Now I need to get back to regular exercise.

Sorry about the bug, Mo.

I did a very healthy thing and went for a two-years-overdue ob/gyn appointment last week. Everything seems to be in order. Got a referral for mammogram and colonoscopy. Ugh, but I'll do it.

Still keeping up with the exercise six days a week. Love my trainer and boot camp so darn much!!

Food is good. Both last week and this week I cooked healthy food on the weekend so it's been available all week. That makes things a heck of a lot easier!

Weight is still under 120, which is like a dream, I swear. And for some reason I'm getting smaller again all of a sudden. Some of my favorite warmer-weather pieces are turning out to be too big, and I actually picked up a couple of size TWO jackets at the consignment store on Friday. It's madness, I tell you.

I had an off week due to vacation and unfortunately a heck of a stomach bug. So I am about where I was last week on the scale, but don't feel as healthy since I missed workouts and was sick for a few days. I hope to try and get back on my triathlon training schedule this week, replacing the runs with walks until my ankle is ready. The race is 12 weeks away so I have time still to train as long as my foot cooperates and lets me jog soon.
First thing I need to get some fresh groceries in the house today and get back to making healthy meals.

I don't think I have posted on this thread for weeks.
I have had about a month off exercise with a lingering cough and cold.
I didn't gain any weight, which is probably because I was enforcing a baking ban.
It was supposed to last til I reached a certain weight but I couldn't wait any longer and have been baking the last few days - haven't checked the scales
I went back to the gym yesterday and will go again tomorrow - have lost a lot of fitness so am taking things carefully. Have worked out a more acheivable fitness plan for this term - no more 3 hour weekly sessions - more spread out - and planning to take up some other YLF suggestions.

Sounds good! Janet - can you have a main meal at lunchtime on the days of the 3-7pm shift? I really sympathise with you over not being able to eat at your normal time.

I'm plodding along. Still need to do more exercise, but my body craves more and more vegetables these days, which I'm really pleased about. I had a busy week last week, so need to try to make more effort again this week.

I had a good week. Went with hubby on a business trip to the NC mountains! Had steak one night, local BBQ the next night - both meals with LOTS of veggies, no bread or potatoes. I hiked (literally) three-miles to and from the downtown shopping area, two days in a row, so I didn't really need my elliptical.

Glad you're on the mend! Headaches are no fun - I get an occasional killer migraine. Luckily, not too often.

Last week was a weird mixed bag for me because I was so busy with my new job and getting ready for an exhibition that I ate very little (and nearly all on the run), and missed two training runs. I resumed my running schedule yesterday and felt fine, so no harm done. My half marathon is only 3 weeks away!

I'm still figuring out how to deal with dinner in a healthy way now that I'm working a 3-7pm shift. I normally like to eat dinner around 6 since I'm an early-to-bed and early riser person, so eating dinner at 8pm isn't my ideal. The radio station is a 45-50 minute drive from home. Ive been snacking on some nuts or fruit or a Fiber One bar during my shift so I'm not ravenous when I get off the air, but there's still the issue of dinner when I'm done. I resorted to a fast food chicken sandwich one night, but I don't want to make that a habit.

In good news from my doctor appointment last week, I've lost 10 lbs in the last 5 months. I knew I had made progress, but it was nice to see the numbers. My blood pressure is great too, lower than its been in years, even though it's never been high.

Time to check in again. How did it go last week?

For me I had the reverse of my usual situation: things went well with my eating plan, but I didn't get as much exercise as usual. I missed a couple days feeling really tired and with a headache. I'm working on getting back on track this week.
