Great job everyone! Even hanging in there and posting about how it's going when having a rough week is a small victory.

Decent week here. I did three boot camps, two tap classes, and two personal training sessions. I'm starting to see a tiny bit of muscle definition in my arms and shoulders, which is great. Scale is trending down a teeny bit, but it's very slow going.

And since we're about being healthy, I am pleased to report I made a long-overdue appointment for a checkup with the ob/gyn this week, too!

I can't complain, I had a pretty good week. I was on target for exercise and we did good on fruits and veggies. The scale is slightly down which I consider no small victory considering I'm pretty happy when I manage to hold the line : )

Zineryt worked for me. You apply it topically. So sorry you're having a bad time, Elly, and hope you get over this cold soon.

Elly- would you consider herbs to deal with the hormone issues? I am using some to deal with peri-menopause, and they have been so helpful that I actually started my son on some because of his acne (after doing a ton of research, of course). If you want more info, just PM me.

I got two workouts in, one Monday and one Tuesday-- but it seems like I have lost my partner in crime. I did catch the bad cold that someone brought home. I started getting sick on Wed. and was out of class both Thursday and Friday, now I am trying to get caught up.Viruses are the bane of my existence! I don't have cold symptoms anymore, but am still super fatigued and with heart related symptoms (viruses always inflame things and make it act up). I slept most of the weekend and skipped my heart med that keeps me from laying down and actually had the most energy and felt the best I had felt in a long time this morning (except for the chest pain and shortness of breath). I think that not only am I not getting quality sleep (I get 8-9 hours a night, but I don't feel refreshed with less than 12-14, which is not normal for me) but that the heart med that is keeping my constant dizziness away is sucking the life energy out of me. I was a much more pleasant person to be around! So, I don't even know where to begin about that one. Eating was out the window, but sadly I actually ate more regularly if not healthy (more often) than I had been.

I also have been having an annoying problem in the last few months (longer than that, but it is worsening) that I was hoping I could get some advice on. I've been getting decently bad hormonal adult acne. I am already on hormonal BC and I can't maintain a regular cycle and doesn't seem to impact the acne at all-- although I am sure it is hormonal acne because when I am bleeding I have acne and when I get a week or two where I am not bleeding or spotting I don't get pimples. I'm on one of the "best" pills for acne right now and it has no effect. Ideally, I would like to work with my gyn on the acne stuff because she is knowledgeable about my heart problems rather than try to go to a derm, since I am allergic to topical benzoil peroxide in any form and the acne is hormonal in nature. Obviously I am not a candidate for Accutane, both because it isn't very severe, and also because of my heart. However, it is painful, annoying and I get hyper-pigmentation and red scars. What worked for you?

Anyway, I have 2.5 million things to catch up on--- so send me coffee and any "boredom energy" you might have to spare!

Ooh I'm being lazy this week. Children are on holiday, DH is ill, I'm gardening all day and vaguely trying to keep everyone fed and occupied in between and all healthy habits (well, nearly all) are falling by the wayside. Another glass of wine anyone? Lol!

I just hung on last week; treading water. Literally - I went to the pool twice but that was my only exercise for the week. I had some diet bombs with a DQ Blizzard and out to Olive Garden but it wasn't all bad. The blizzard lasted 2 days and Olive Garden was both lunch and dinner so not as decadent as it sounds. Overall I did alright. Weight is the same.
I hope to get in some weight lifting this week. I already got in a good 500 yd swim today and it felt great. The foot/ankle is improving ever so slightly and I'm sure the swimming has a lot to do with it. We have 80 degree weather all week so I'll have plenty of pool opportunities.
What I really need to do is get cooking again. Now that I can stand for longer periods there is no reason I have to live off microwave food anymore.

This week we're taking our challenge into April - I'm loving that I'm typing this post with pictures of beautiful flowers in the background photo of the site. Hopefully it's more springlike where you are, here in Boston it's a chilly, rainy, gray day.

How did last week go? For me it was mixed, things were good exercise-wise - I did crossfit 3 times, yoga 4 times, and went hiking and to the climbing gym once each. My eating was mostly good but I had stress-induced, unplanned cheat day last week. I may just have to build in some cheat days for the near future, I'm in a really stressful time in my life at the moment. My weight was up slightly for the week.
