I'm thinking on Mo's challenge, I'll post what I decide to do in specifics Sun. I keep trying to cut back on hours I work, but I still had 64 hours of overtime for the last 2 weeks. I'm exhausted and my workouts suffer. I have a week of vacation next week so I'm gonna use that to get myself back on track.

How do you like Mo's challenge Shedev?

My exercise was pretty minimal. Rode to work once - and got a flat tyre. Went to go to and RPM class but because it was cancelled the gym said I could go in the gym (not included in my membership level) So good to go on the treadmill again!! Unfortunately I must hurt my left leg from buttock to knee in the process and haven't done any exercise since apart from a 3km walk in hills with my daughters.

My eating was pretty bad but I have been motivated to follow Katiekat's example and cut out grains and sugars since my DH said he might have a 70's themed birthday party and I'll want to wear a dress my mum wore in her 20s! Seems to be going well, although I may be eating too much cheese.

I got my blood test result last week (about tiredness) and learnt that I have a vitamin D deficiency. I read later that this is very common in celiacs. Hope all the extra supplementation I am now on will make a difference.

I'm maintaining a couple of pounds higher than I was before trips, but I'm working on it. Not bad for two trips though. Slowed down on exercising--very tired all last week but feeling more like my old self now. I was at the mall today and seeing myself in the full length mirror from a distance was nice--I look like my old self (pretty much) again. By this I mean where I was most of the time 3-4 years ago and beyond.

I expect to have a couple of quiet weeks now where I can stay on schedule and get a lot done--no trips or eating out or parties.

Hello everyone. Now that the cooler weather has come upon us, I'm ready to be outdoors. I've been training for a half marathon and have 9.5 weeks left for the big race. I managed a 12 mile run on Sunday, even though I was schedule a 9 mile run. Yay me, although I'm paying it for it today.

Food is always an issue for me and is an emotional one, so I exercise to balance. Hence, my weight never really changes especially as I get older.

My weight training program has stalled a bit so I'll need to start up again, mostly the upper body since my legs are overworked.

I started bootcamp classes again last week, at a new place in my new neighborhood. Trainers have been OK but not stellar - one irritated me, one seems all right. After last Monday's class I was quite sore for a couple days, but was ready to go again on Friday, after which I was not as sore. Had another class this morning so we'll see how two classes in four days feels.

Why does it always seem so much slower getting back into shape than doing it the first time? It's probably nonsense, it has to be easier...maybe I just feel impatient because I know what I was capable of before.

Janet, I seem to go up in weight when I'm training a lot for a race. First time I kind of scratched my head. But now that it has consistently happened I realize there is a link.
I'm up on the scale. And I did 8 workouts last week! Sure, my food wasn't clean but it has been worse and not had me gaining. I try and just go with it these days. I tell myself it's better to be strong (fast) (limber) than small. ;)
Good luck with the century!!

Well, I tried on a few things that I was thinking of purging from the depths of my closet, and they're a bit snug, so that is my cue that my weight is up and I need to dial back the eating.

The issue is certainly not my activity level. I've been walking/running almost every day that I'm not biking. And yesterday I did my longest training ride yet -- 80 miles -- in preparation for my century ride in two weeks. Oddly enough, I felt stronger finishing the 80 than I did the 70 mile ride two weeks ago, but it was much cooler and less humid yesterday.

So, this morning I'm finishing off my leftover pancakes from this weekend (I can't let them go to waste! ;-)), and then I'm watching the food intake more carefully for a while.

It has turned slightly cooler, so time to get out the running tights. Got in 2 - 5k runs. In order to spend more time with DH, did a long (2 hr) walk on a run night. Definitely not my pre-relocation fitness routine, but better than nothing!

Today was gorgeous and DH and I went for a 3 hr hike to explore the waterfront of your new home community. It was deceptively cool, but sunny and we both got sunburnt!

I had a good week for food last week - avoiding sugar pretty much all week. I did relent in the weekend and am back on the no sugar again this week. Three workouts and one walk - missed one gym session due to last minute interruptions and intended to run - but did not!!

Steady is the name of the game though...just keep on keeping on!

The last couple of weeks have been hectic. We've been fostering a dog so my schedule has been a little crazy. I've been keeping up my weight work outs at home and switched up my runs from solid state cardio to intervals (in order to have the dog sit at corners.) She's either not very bright or she thinks she's the alpha because said dog has been struggling with commands. I can't trust her with the cat so I crate her for few hours during the day when I get my weights in and various chores--reminds me of nap time when my children were young. My weight is holding steady--even a little below my normal which is kind of nice for a change. I think the very slight loss is due to all of the extra dog walking. Hope everyone has a good week!

I'm hoping to keep up the good work. Last week I kept to my workout routine (yay), but I'm a little under the weather at present which has resulted in a touch of weight gain. As long as I keep eating well & exercising, I expect the weight will come right off once I'm well.

Hmm, what is your highest weight you can bench press? Increase it by 10% in 2 weeks. Or how many sit ups can you do? Increase that by 10%. If you run, go 10% longer/further. :D
I had a bumpy start to my week with no workout Sunday or Monday. I made up for lost time! 3 runs, 2 weight workouts, a swim, a bike, and a long overdue yoga practice. Yeah, that was a lot of double up days. BF wanted me to gym yesterday. I had done yoga that morning and a 4.5 mile run at sunset. I said, NO WAY. ;) We did weights this morning before going out for some football and beer and snacks.
I did well with wine intake but had my share of more decadent food, if not huge amounts. Pizza and Olive Garden both happened.
This week looking to keep wine moderate and improve on the food, as usual.
