I exercised less this week, but still swam. I ate past 9pm only once. Ate some sweets, but getting them out of the house really helped. I've cut way done on the mindless eating. Yay!

Goals are the same, plus getting in two walks this week.

Steady week here - good with exercise - three gym sessions, three power walks, two short runs. Eating has been okay in general. I am winning on reducing sugar and snacking. I am not winning on increasing protein daily at breakfast. I have not been drinking wine during the week and I have cut back on Fridays and Saturdays from 2-3 glasses to one glass. All small changes but I hope to lose weight around my middle. I also do not eat after dinner now - which was not a major problem but a small one. However I have had cheesecake so I still indulge.

I agree, making small changes slowly and making them last is a better solution for me.

Lunches that are healthy and work for me
- omelette
- soup and toast
- chicken or tuna salad
- wraps filled with protein and salad
- sushi
- toasted sandwich light on cheese and heavy on tuna and tomato on wholegrain

I do eat carbs - and I refuse to eliminate them. I feel nauseous quickly if I don't have some. I am trying to choose oats, sweet potato, pumpkin, wholegrain bread ahead of white bread, white rice and pasta.

Jenn, slowly adding habits is a great way to go.
Runcarla, glad you are finding solutions. Will be doing deadlifts as part of my program. Bummer about the yoga.
Anne, its great that you are getting more sleep. I work overnights so it's something I really struggle with.
Ms Maven, I'm sorry about the arthritis. I hope your doctor can find some relief for you.

Much better this week. Got rid of (ate) all WW goodies and other sugar laced items. Did exercises and weight gain seems to be reversed.

On the bad side, having problems with arthritis in feet and hands. My right hand finger joints are swelling and painful. I've never had it quite like this before. I have an appointment with my doctor in two weeks. Feet and ankles swelling as well, and painful. Maybe it's the heat. Back to compression socks even though it's 95°.

I'm not ready to give up gardening!

Well done on the moderation, weight loss and the strong lifts Shedev. I'm with you on not wanting to cut out more stuff when one is already celiac!

Runcarla - ah Deadlifts - I know them well! A favourite of both my personal trainer and the physio I'm seeing for my knee issues

I actually wrote about my lunch on last wee's thread so I'll just paste

My standard packed lunch includes a small hard boiled egg for morning tea, then some roast pumpkin and/or sweet potato and some cherry tomatoes and a tin of tuna. I'm trying to increase the vegie component - today I filled a 400ml container and had some chickpeas, and roast cauli and broccoli as well (or I'll add leftover veg)"

Not doing as well in today's lunch - only sweet potato and cherry tomoatos - no other veg, and I forgot the legumes. I'll have plenty with my evening meal though.

My food intake is having a sort of agreed departure from the straight and narrow. DD turned 13 and we had plenty of treats for the day and will again tonight for her family party. Have tried to eat a bit lighter to make up, but haven't looked to see the damage on the scales because the weather is so cold (by our standards) that I don't want to get naked in the bathroom first thing in the morning!

My knee continues to trouble me, and I left my gym bag on the bus last week and this loss has hampered my workouts (happily I didn't lose the expensive running shoes )

Am working on getting more sleep, and my new fitbit tells me I've added to my weekly sleep by a few more minutes. However this is largely from the weekend and from one night where a bad headache forced me to bed early.

My iron levels have gone up to (Fe 20) which is an improvement, but not adequate yet. More yucky iron tablets! (or maybe I should try the liquid ones someone here recommended)

Did a drop-in spin class and the teacher was doing a summer farewell - 90 min vs her regular 60! Swims and runs and weight training I got per regular. Trainer has identified another weakness, and now I am learning how to do something called 'dead lifts' to strengthen back, glutes, and hamstrings. Some holiday eating, but weight is steady. Yoga suspended for summer. I'm not happy with this.

Met with nutritionist and have implemented his suggestions. Have had one month of significantly reduced gastro issues. Seems to be 'life style' vs any illness (TG!)

I eat pretty substantial breakfasts and am often not all that hungry by lunchtime, so I'll sometimes just have avocado on toast. I also like to cook up some chicken breast at the start of the week, cube it, and eat it on salad at lunchtime. Typical salad this time of year would be a mix of lettuce, arugula, and kale from the garden with berries, walnuts, a little goat cheese, and some previously-cooked chicken.

I've been using the web site irunurun to track my healthy habits. It weights everything and gives you a weekly score between 0 and 100. This past week's score was a 95. I'm feeling pretty good about that, though I'm only tracking fruits/vegetables and exercise right now. Once these are feeling ingrained, I'll add more habits into the mix.

I did ok with exercise. Two stronglifts, sort of. Even in my best of shape, I could never do a 45lb overhead press. So I'm working my way up with dumbells and hoping to get to the barbells. I can do the squat. 1 Krav Maga, 1 trailwalk with dogs, and will do some kind of cardio today.

Food was good. Right now I'm in the all things in moderation camp. I have to be gluten free due to Celiacs, and I'm really reluctant to cut out foods beyond that. I've lost 5 total doing this.

Since we did breakfasts, I thought we could talk about lunches. One of my go to is wraps. Turkey, lettuce, and tomato on gluten free flatbread with a piece of fruit on the side.
