				<description>&#060;p&#062;We are supposed to use the least amount of power between 2 and 7 pm. &#038;nbsp;If we go over a certain level we will get charged extra, but we are supposed to have big savings if we don't. &#038;nbsp;They usually give us 2 days in advance warning. &#038;nbsp;Since this is a new program, I don't know how much is allowable--so far interior temperature is 81°. &#038;nbsp;It's the 8th low power day since mid-June and DH isn't sure what he signed us up for.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Today I turned the A/C down a couple of notches from morning to 2 pm to cool the house in advance, but today is the first day I'm feeling warm. &#038;nbsp;Hey, why don't I take off my card?&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;DH has a hard time with the heat and usually is at work on these days. &#038;nbsp;He bought me a little fan that I just started up for the first time (our 8th day of power saving.) &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;There is another program I just heard about--some of our neighbors signed up for a program where the power company--PG&#038;amp;E--can control and cut power to the A/C if it decides to do so. &#038;nbsp;So far there seems to be confusion about this--but PG&#038;amp;E installs some kind of meter on the A/C.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;It's been tough lately  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-sad icon-emoticon-sad "></span>  In brief, I have developed some pain in my foot due to a bunion that has forced me to back off running for a bit. I'm hoping I can get back to it soon...but not exactly clear how all of this is going to resolve itself.&#060;br /&#062;
I did go to a cardio class today at the gym that was quite strenuous. That felt good...

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Congratulations Mo. Summer is a challenge, but I think the important thing is not to give up and throw healthy diet and exercise out the door (and into the heat.)&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Challenging week. &#038;nbsp;Visitors from afar, with a number of teenage kids, lots of food for them, not a lot of time to keep up with exercising--but somehow I lost another pound--just two from goal. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;It's been hot and muggy this week, and DH signed us up for power-saving deal called Smart Rate. &#038;nbsp;No a/c on Friday, today, and they just called another one for tomorrow. &#038;nbsp;So far I can deal with it because I spend the time in front of my computer (it's only until 7 pm.) &#038;nbsp;Still, not motivated to move around much. &#038;nbsp;Cats don't care for it--they just loll around and sleep if they can. &#038;nbsp;The house doesn't get that hot. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;And it's not even August. &#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I love my new home and community, but the long train commute results in 12 hour days.  The first week was exhausting. Nutrition was good, have been shopping the farmers market for local fare, but I drank too much coffee at work and not enough H20.  Squeezed in 2 25k bike rides, which were more about mental health than fitness!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;5 out of 6 planned workouts completed last week. Which is really my norm. I strive for 6/week but feel good at 5. &#060;/p&#062;

Mon bike, already completed&#060;br /&#062;
Tue run&#060;br /&#062;
Wed rest&#060;br /&#062;
Thurs swim&#060;br /&#062;
Fri rest&#060;br /&#062;
Sat bike,run&#060;br /&#062;
Sun swim&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Also, vacation eating didn't stop when we returned from vacation two weeks ago. I am going to be more conscious of the extras and make sure I am getting lots of veggies and fruit.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I had to take it very easy this week. &#038;nbsp;I did something to my back a while back and somehow made it worse last weekend. &#038;nbsp;I am going to call and book an appt with a physiotherapist this week. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I stuck to my low carb plan. &#038;nbsp;I am not losing weight but do feel pretty good on it. &#038;nbsp;I had to go to Saskatchewan for a day trip on Thursday so left home at 7 am and didn't get back until 1:00 am due to flight delays. &#038;nbsp;On Friday, we played 18 holes of golf at a long course and I was having trouble walking on Saturday. &#038;nbsp;*sigh*. &#038;nbsp;I did get in over 20K steps on that course and it was gruelling. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I am going to see if I can get in a few good walks this week and if all goes well, play twilight golf on Wednesday.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;It looks like a few of us are fighting the food lately. &#038;nbsp;Perhaps it is a summer thing.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Oooo I can actually contribute this week! With it being school holidays I'm making a determined effort to get some daily exercise. Not masses as I'm not super fit but enough to get me moving. Last week:&#060;br /&#062;
Monday- Zumba&#060;br /&#062;
Tuesday- 2x 30min walks and 40mins bike ride&#060;br /&#062;
Wednesday- 40 minute bike ride&#060;br /&#062;
Thursday 2x 30min walks&#060;br /&#062;
Friday- 1 1/4hr walk (it was 4.5 miles and  it got really hot, I was shattered when I got back and had to have a sleep in the shade in the garden!)&#060;br /&#062;
Saturday- day out but was walking all day.&#060;br /&#062;
And I might cycle to zumba tonight? &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I'm also trying to eat the requisite 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, I really struggle with this one normally but I've been marking it off on a tick sheet in my diary and managed it most days last week x

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I did my race after a planned taper week of shorter workouts. &#038;nbsp;Sunday usually is gym for lifting with the BF but he had a major migraine all Saturday night and I was still pooped from my night race so we simply propped our feet up and the big outing was Outback for steak. &#038;nbsp;:)&#060;br /&#062;Getting back into it starting tomorrow with a bike ride. &#038;nbsp;Going to decrease my biking and swims in favor of running and weights.&#038;nbsp;&#038;nbsp;My tentative workout plan for the rest of summer: &#038;nbsp;

&#060;p&#062;Also hoping to get better with making fresh foods at home now that I'll have wheels to get to the grocery store at will. &#038;nbsp;Wine consumption&#038;nbsp;has been very good this last week. &#038;nbsp;I want to continue with the decreased intake. &#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;I'm hoping to get about 1% body fat trimmed by fall,&#038;nbsp;which equates to&#038;nbsp;2 or 3 pounds.&#038;nbsp;&#038;nbsp;
