				<description>&#060;p&#062;I've always been good about getting my workouts in and eating healthy meals in the proper portions.&#038;nbsp; It's snacking that does me in. I used to eat cheese and crackers, m &#038;amp; m's, trail mix, chips and salsa, cookies left over from work meetings, etc. whenever I felt like it thinking I worked out enough to offset it.&#038;nbsp; Ha!&#038;nbsp; At the beginning of the year I started adding more time to my cardio sessions, but it's not enough - got to watch what I eat too unfortunately.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I've been carrying 5 to 10 extra pounds for about a year and finally decided to just focus and get rid of it.&#038;nbsp; I started using a food and exercise tracking app on my Nook and it forces me to stay within my calorie limits instead of just guessing.&#038;nbsp; I end up able to have maybe ONE snack a day, but not ALL THE SNACKS. It's been a week but I haven't weighed in yet.&#038;nbsp; I'll check this weekend if I'm feeling brave.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Weight is stable--still on the higher end of normal. I'm on Day 16 of my running commitment. I've still not decided on my goals except for a minimum run of a mile a day. I've added in some random longer runs and they have been fine. Kettlebells 3x a week. Hope everyone else is plugging along too!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Five day trip to mid-west for family birthday and new baby celebrations. Ugh. Lots of desserts, wine, fat, salt and just too much eating. However, when I stepped on the scale this morning it wasn't too bad--just ten pounds up.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;No exercising either. Just lots of stress. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have a couple of weeks before the next trip, which won't be so centered around eating. Despite being worn out, I'm doing my best to get right back on track. &#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Training on track for my events with the exception of swimming, but did a bonus 60K bike ride with DS#1.  I'm having some sinus issues and not sure if it is related to a summer cold, or a tooth for which I will have a root canal on Tuesday.     I just can't face the discomfort of swimming until this clears up.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Food has been good.  I have been experimenting with marinades and rubs on chicken and leaner cuts of meat  Lots of salads and grilled veg.  little to no gastro issues this week.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Sleep hygiene could be better.  I'm waking about 3 times per night.  Usually after 1 hour's sleep (midnight) then 2am then 3am.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Last Wednesday I made some commitments to myself prompted by some jeans being particularly tight around the waist.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;1.No cheese as a snack between meals&#060;br /&#062;2.No refined sugar in the week (Cake/chocolate/biscuits/fudge) - can have fresh fruit. Exception small amount brown sugar or honey on porridge. Very minimal dried fruit.&#060;br /&#062;3.No sugary drinks&#060;br /&#062;4. 5 lots exercise per week&#060;br /&#062;5. Increase protein and vege content of meals.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;It was not 100% successful but overall everything was okay.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;1. I did eat cheese as a snack once.&#060;br /&#062;2. From Wed to Friday I had no refined sugar, in the weekend I had one piece of cake (allowed)&#060;br /&#062;3. I did have a glass of cranberry juice due to a UTI that flared up in the weekend - this contains sugar.&#060;br /&#062;4. &#038;nbsp;I pulled my hamstring at the gym on Friday so had Saturday off, then yesterday carted around lots of pavers for our backyard renovation which twinged it, so could not exercise. &#038;nbsp;It was all right at the gym this morning. &#038;nbsp;So I managed 4/5.&#060;br /&#062;5. Did okay on this one, but still room for improvement.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Onwards and upwards, will keep going. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
