I'm focusing this week on water and sleep. It's not hard for me to drink enough (my goal is 100 oz, but I'm almost always over 80, which I think is enough by most standards), but I have a hard time getting to bed on time (I blame my husband not returning from work until 10:30 or 11:00 pm... ) My weight is up, but my sizes are down (either that or my clothes are stretching - the pants I just bought a couple of weeks ago are too big already). I still have 10 pounds to reach my initial goal, but I'm not sure I want to lose much more size, so I may ditch that goal.

On the other hand, I reward myself with new shoes when I hit it, and I really want those shoes....

It's been a good week after a rough start to the year. I got in two weight sessions and two, 40 minute hikes on hilly terrain. I've been limiting my wine to just one glass a night and that in itself has made a real difference for me. Just 200 calories a night extra for 30 days can add up to nearly 2 pounds! I'm drinking more lemon-aide (made with real organic lemons and no sugar, or maybe sometimes a little honey). Oh and I've really been trying to add more fiber - madarin oranges for "dessert" are highly recommended. And I make these "hippie" cookies with a lot of flaxseeds, oats and sunflower seeks in them. Great for a snack. I've also been limiting our meals to reduce potatoes and bread more than usual. My clothes are feeling just a little loose, in a good way.

Lost another pound! And I owe it all to "Spring Cleaning"! Lots of furniture to move around while cleaning and getting stuff ready for donations. Also cleaning out my in laws house for double the workout. According to my FitBit I have been averaging 30 stairs and 20,000 steps a day. Now that the weather has vastly improved my spring cleaning continues outside, plus I may sneak in a few bike rides while I am at it.

My weight is up a few pounds but only noticeable on the scale (at least from what I can tell.) I have been exercising in fits and starts and am trying to be more consistent. On a positive note, DDs have agreed to try and eat healthier for 30 days and not complain about my cooking! This means more vegetable based dinners. I'm very excited and hope that they can stick with it!

Not doing that well. Two weeks ago I was almost at my goal weight but I've been hungry and something has happened to my metabolism. So I've gained a bit of weight and have some aches and pains from doing some light gardening--although nothing like I use to do.

I did start up yoga again. I stopped because it was irritating the knee OA, but since the gardening did that anyway, and I had a lot of morning stiffness, I decided what the heck. And guess what? I am doing better--back and knee not so achy and less morning stiffness. Also, I'm done with gardening for now.
I'm also determined to keep the food diary--this is important for me to keep on track, no matter how bad a particular day is.

The last 4 days I have exercised every day, combo class at gym Fri, Spin class Sat, 8km race Sun and PT session today. I NEED a break tomorow! Prior to that just ran/jogged in a park run with DD7 and ran 7.5 km on Monday.

Food and weight wise have been a total bust. With Easter (5 days off work with lots of baking) and then my birthday, I have been going back into some unhealthy patterns and need to change, especially since I went up around 5 pound in a week. Not sure if I can bring myself to go off dairy again, but am working up to cutting out sugar again (and maybe grains this time as well)

All good here....a walk and three gym sessions. And lots of incidental exercise. Trying to keep a food diary to spot the areas where I am weak with eating.

Was feeling a little sad last week because everything felt tight but it was pre- menstrual bloating. Back to normal now.

The autumn has definitely arrived today - raining and cold!

Week went well although I only ran 3 times since it was taperinweek. I'm Still doing my StrongLifts and will begin week 6 tomorrow. I don't see much difference in my body shape yet so I'll keep at it. Food intake ok.

Today was race day at dc's famous cherry blossom festival 10 mile race. The day began with a beautiful crisp Spring morning and a 2 mile bike ride to the event. Then ran 10 miles by the full bloomed trees. My PR time was ok but I'd like to think it was a very crowded race.

Rest of the week will be SL and bicycling for a while. Im taking a break from running.

Two days of swimming and 1 day of weights. First week of incorporating weights. My goal is 3 days swimming/2 days weights. I saw my biggest weight loss yet. Down 5.5 pounds but am visiting family and then to celebrate my birthday at Historic Inn/Longwood Gardens. I'm sure I'll be up after these fun times! But progress. Thanks again for keeping my accountable.

Returned to work after 2 weeks of vacation, but stayed on track. 5 runs (made up for a missed run last week), 2 swims, 1 bike, 2 yoga. Nutrition was good, but maybe a little carb dependant (DH cooking again). Getting home late from work (dinner at 7 pm) messes with my gastro, but keeping the meal small seems to help, and no snacking!

Yoga is new to my regime since January. I never, EVER, did it before. Now, I feel compelled to attend classes because it is working miracles for me! After 3 years of dealing with right sided periformis issues (sciatica like pain) my symptoms completely disappeared after I took a 90 min. Hatha class! I experienced a mild return of symptoms after a double run day, but then they resolved again after the next yoga class. The 'yoga for runners' class is a great stretch and relaxation class and I have my best sleeps after the Tuesday night class, but the Hatha class is rehab magic! I just wish I could figure out which moves are responsible for the recovery so I could build them into my own routine!
