It has been a rough two weeks for me with very little excercise. The change in light levels has me feeling very low on energy. Finally back in the swing of things this week.

Sally: Glad you got to wear your bikini! I didn't know it was possible to crave asparagus at 7:00 am, but your mention of fruits and veg has me wanting to find some fresh goodies today.

Anne: Don't get discouraged, it's sounds like you focused on the more important things. Some weeks sleep and shortbread are win.

Barbara Diane: You are funny! And kind not to tempt us. October-December is the season of temptation for sure!

Shedev: Sorry to hear you were sick! I'm at impressed by your workout schedule-4 workouts doesn't sound modest to me!

Kerlyn: Good on you for the excercise and getting back on track after the cereal binge I can't keep cereal in the house because I will finish the box in two days!

MsMaven: I think we all can relate to those times when schedule makes it more challenging to excercise and eat right! Focusing on good food when you can sounds like a good strategy.

Danusia: Sounds like you are really building some fitness with your consistency!

Runcarla, have you heard of Phat Fudge? It's essentially a fat bomb and it has been a workout game-changer for me. Give the recipe a try: http://paleochef.com/2014/11/19/phat-fudge-recipe/

Been slacking for a couple of weeks, but this is normal for my exercise cycle and I usually pick up by November. Have developed a bit of heel pain (plantar fasciitis) in my left foot. Probably due to lots of city walking - pavement, in very low/flat shoes. Wearing a modest heel, and more cushioning seems to help.

Craving dairy hard post exercise. My fitness guru thinks I run better on fat than on carbs and to go with it!

I had a bout of TMJ (started in May) which severely limited my eating and exercising for a couple of months.Put on a few pounds and was unable to exercise during that time, but finally getting back into my routine after getting trigger point massage therapy for 3 months.

Did not realize how weak my upper body, especially arms, had become since I was told not to do any upper body exercises until the problem was resolved. Slowly, but surely regaining muscle strength in the upper and lower body and happy that I only gained 5 pounds. Even though I am sore from exercising, I am thrilled that I do not tire as much as I did the past few months.

Thanks for keeping this going. I've been gradually gaining weight and exercise has been erratic because of busy schedule. I do much better when life is simpler. I hope I've reversed the trend. I'm trying to eat better quality food.

I did better over the weekend with workouts. Got in a run, weight lifting, and a short walk. Food wise, I've done fairly well. Well, except for Friday night. After dinner I was still hungry, so I had a bowl of cereal, which led to another bowl of cereal, and then some popcorn, and possibly a kit kat. Darn it. Oh well, back on track Saturday, and working on getting lots of veggies in.

I finally got my time managed to the point that I can resume my workouts. Then I came down with the flu. But I was a lot less hungry and did lose some weight. I'm working on building on it, and getting in a modest 4 workouts a week.

I first listed what I ate this weekend as an example of how off track I am. But then I decided I don't want to tempt anyone/lead anyone astray.
It has been a fun time, but I think being off schedule really doesn't help. Also need to want to be healthy more than to eat sweets and snacks. And prioritize fresh air and exercise.

Good work Sally.

Not so good here. 2 gym workouts last week and one ride to work (but not home). Very busy (though with great and worthwhile things) and tiredness has meant sleep has triumphed over exercices (including my physio ones) in the little time I've had.

Weight is up and healthy eating not so good (again)

ETA - almost forgot the really low point for me. I spent my day off on Thursday cooking for a cake stall for school. 3 batches of gluten free shortbread. I could have baked other things, but I forgot my usual practice of not cooking things that need rolling out and cutting (so timeconsuming) and so stood up for ages and got tired out. (Also had to individually wrap them but I did sit down for that)

Plus I ate WAY to much shortbread mixture and broken ones etc... Did not feel good at the end of that day!

It has been a good-ish week for me. Lots of exercise (two walks, two gym sessions, lots of gardening, one bike ride)..and eating whole foods/healthy produce. Oranges are good right now, I had my first asparagus of the season, and some lovely fennel too.

Goal at the moment is to be active, eat whole foods and keep the sugar low. I am doing well at these things without being an absolute champion.....

Even wore the new bikini in the weekend!
