&#060;p&#062;I'm late checking in this week, but I think I've only missed once or twice this whole year and don't want to quit now.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Christmas baskets, boxes of See's chocolates in the mail--a challenging time of year. I'm managing to maintain, but at about 4-5 pounds above my goal. Dark rainy days don't inspire me to move around, but hooray for the rain! I'm not walking at much, but have resumed regular workout schedule.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Next week comes the big challenge: holiday travel.&#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Hello healthy fabbers. &#038;nbsp;I am up at 4:00 so thought I would read YLF. &#038;nbsp;I haven't posted on this thread in a while now. &#038;nbsp;I had sciatic nerve issues off and on since February so have focused on diet. &#038;nbsp;I completely cut out carbs for about 4 months and joined weight watchers a month ago. &#038;nbsp;I was not too far from goal and admit I joined primarily to get my partner to go with me since he had gained a fair bit of weight over the last two years and his family has a history of heart disease and diabetes.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;We had our WW meeting last night and I was within the magic 2 lbs of goal weight. &#038;nbsp;I have lost about 13 lbs since June. &#038;nbsp;Slow and steady wins the race, right? &#038;nbsp;I am leaving for Mexico in 18 days and have a new pair of running shoes ready to go. &#038;nbsp;I usually walk between 8 and 12 miles per day while there and may pick up 10 lbs dumb bells and do a bit of exercise in the mornings to get started.&#060;/p&#062;

&#060;p&#062;About a month ago I made some adjustments to my general diet and am feeling good. &#038;nbsp;Clear headed and a lot more energy. &#038;nbsp;And this week I have started walking. &#038;nbsp;I am not a lover of exercise but I do enjoy a good walk, so Master 11 has appointed himself my 'coach' and we are walking together each night for approx 45 mins to an hour. &#038;nbsp;Today was only our fourth walk but I believe I am already feeling the benefits.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;3 runs, 1 bike, 1 swim.  Nutrition was very good.  Sleep hygiene not so much.  First 2 nights were okay, but frequent waking followed.  I stayed out of the fridge (I have a new dental plane/guard that helps!) but did check the computer once or twice.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;This coming week the challenge will be to get to the gym, and the parties are starting!

And he got a Fitbit monitor from his company as a Christmas gift and has given it to me. Anyone use any of the Fitbits or similar? It's one of the wrist ones.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Due to the wedding yesterday, I'm sure I'm up a couple lbs. It was a lot of fun. I got to see people I hadn't seen in a long time.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;My sister wants to start going to the gym&#038;nbsp;with me. She tried this last year, but found the gym to be intimidating. She went for a few weeks and then said she&#038;nbsp;was too fat for the gym. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will like it more this time.&#060;/p&#062;
