&#060;p&#062;I think it is a water retention/body adjustment issue to the new diet and exercise plan.&#038;nbsp; I lost the two pounds I gained yesterday this morning.&#038;nbsp;  I guess I shouldn't let the scale jerk me around in terms of my general happiness and mood but I'm feeling a lot better today.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have been 100% compliant with my diet so far this week and it feels great.&#038;nbsp; I have also resisted multiple urges to make exceptions to no-shop August (i know, it is only day 5) and have stayed strong.&#038;nbsp; Being disciplined is giving me a huge sense of accomplishment.

&#060;p&#062;Suja - please don't panic. &#038;nbsp;Muscle weighs more than fat so you may be slimmer but weigh more. &#038;nbsp;The weight itself is immaterial. &#038;nbsp; We can plateau as well so sticking with the exercise is the main thing. &#038;nbsp;An online community support could be a great thing if you are feeling down about it - I can't point you in the right direction but there will be one out there.&#060;/p&#062;

I've noticed the same thing. Many a day, I feel like I could take a nap.&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;@Peri: No time like the present to jump in and get started. Too often I find myself letting the the pounds creep up. The older I get, the harder it is to get rid of. Sounds like you have a plan and we are here to keep you motivated!&#060;/p&#062;

I’m very happy for him because it was all in his belly but it’s also so ANNOYING that it just seemed to melt off with no effort. Argh. To have a male metabolism!&#060;/p&#062;

&#060;p&#062;@Suja: Argh. I don’t know about you, but lots of exercise tends to make me hungry. My lowest weights on the scale are when I’m less active. I’ve also noticed more water retention after lots of running--so the extra few pounds are likely to disappear in a few days. I don’t know of any weight loss forums but I can suggest taking a deep breath and focusing on all of the great things your body can do right now. I have neurotic tendencies and that’s the approach that I’ve been using.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;@Tex: Excellent work! I wish I was as disciplined as you with the eating. I need to work on that!&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;As for me, I pretty much stayed on schedule. I counted &#038;nbsp;hiking/walking one day&#038;nbsp;as a workout even though it wasn't terribly strenuous. I'm taking this week easy as we will be leaving for a vacation.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I had a good week - got in 3 nice hikes as we had cooler weather with mornings in the high 60's. I did weights 3 times, which I'm very happy about. My food was good and I've cut my wine down as well (High Five Mo!) I'm still trying to keep a 7 pm limit on food and not too much later than that for wine, except maybe on the weekend.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I used to eat 2 eggs nearly every morning and I've been trying to keep it down to just one (I also eat vegetables and multi-grain toast with those eggs). I figure the extra 70 calories x every day adds up!&#038;nbsp; Lunch is typically the bigger meal and dinner is often just a nice salad with some protein (steak, chicken, fish).&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I thought I was doing well with the diet and definitely went running on schedule but I stepped on the scale this morning and found out that I had gained 2 pounds!&#038;nbsp;  I am going to double down and get even stricter with the diet and stick with my exercise routine.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;BTW:&#038;nbsp; Does anyone know of or have success with an online weight loss community?&#038;nbsp; I have really been struggling with this for the last few months.&#038;nbsp; I never had body image issues before but I can't stop thinking about my weight, how my clothes feel tight, looking at a room and comparing my body to everyone there.&#038;nbsp; I feel like I need to get more support/help to lose the weight as I'm not in a good place with this issue right now.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Got back on my bike, and yesterday am got up early and went for a 50km ride on a quiet road the follows Lake Ontario (Lakeshore Rd !!!).  A little over my usual time, but overall I'm super happy with how I did and felt afterwards.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Don't know how I'm going to work things on the week days with the longer work/commute schedule, but since tomorrow is a day off (holiday in Ontario) I have another active day planned.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;We have been entertaining a lot, and I did get into the ice cream this weekend, but with all the fresh local produce available, nutrition has been good.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Kiwigal, enjoy that race. &#038;nbsp;Sounds fun!&#060;br /&#062;Shedev, it's more I didn't want to get the healing spots wet sweating heavily or swimming in the pool, and really was wary of chlorine as well. &#038;nbsp;Now that they have sort of scabbed over, I'm just hiding from looking like a leopard and feeling self conscious!&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;I'll join in on the feeling every bit of 44 as well. &#038;nbsp;Somehow 42 and 43 just felt like the late 30's, but 44 has HIT. &#038;nbsp;My near perfect vision I enjoyed is now faltering. &#038;nbsp;Threading a needle last week was entertaining, and now I have to find the right light and distance to read small lettering on pill bottles. &#038;nbsp;Sigh. &#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;Bending down sideways to grab something that fell and is rolling under the couch or whatever isn't as smooth a motion as it used to be. &#038;nbsp;Nor is it as easy to climb on the kitchen counter to get to the top shelves. &#038;nbsp;Middle age. &#038;nbsp;Boo!&#060;br /&#062;I think getting back into yoga more regularly is a fantastic idea.&#038;nbsp;

&#060;p&#062;I am 44 and relatively fit, going to group gym sessions 3 times a week (mix of cardio and weights), one other group exercise session in the park, and normally a bike ride or walk as well. &#038;nbsp;However I would like to lose a little fat.&#060;br /&#062;I love eating and work from home, which can lead to too much snacking.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;My goals this week are&#060;br /&#062;Gym session 2&#060;br /&#062;Group exercise 1&#060;br /&#062;Walk or Run 1&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I am doing an event called Tough Girl where you wade, climb and run 6km in a circuit!! &#038;nbsp;This is on Saturday so Friday will be a rest day and Sunday may be a recovery day.&#060;br /&#062;I&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

Feel free to share whatever you want. Most of us do talk about what we did, or what we want to do. We aren't really limited to that.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Mo, I'm really hoping that I can jump back in tomorrow, but I kinda doubt it. Did you have to stay out of the sun after the cryo?&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Anna, congrats on the loss. I have a version of on call where I am forced to stay over at my work. It does interfere with my fitness at times, then there is just regular life to get in the way.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I need to get in on this...I have lost control of my diet and gained 6 pounds this summer. Doesn't sound like so much, but it's enough to make my pants tight, my stomach uncomfortable since it all goes to my apple belly, and to just make me feel un-fab no matter what I'm wearing. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I'm doing okay on exercise and I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, but then I also eat plenty of chocolate.  I nibble on it all day long so I have no idea of the actual amount but it is obviously too much. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;So...how does this work? I make a goal and post how I did? &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I'm going to determine a set amount of chocolate and attempt to stick to a daily allowance. No more mindless nibbling.
