				<description>&#060;p&#062;6 more weeks until my half marathon. My knee gave me trouble after my long run on Sunday and&#038;nbsp;may have overdone the run since I hadn't ran prior. I managed a 5 miler yesterday with no problems and am glad about that.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;My goal is to lose 10 lbs. by the end of the year. &#038;nbsp;I lost 2.2 lbs last week although I'm hesitant to weigh in today since I overdosed on sodium the past few days. &#038;nbsp;I think I'll wait until Friday.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Well I was going to continue to do Yoga everyday and add C3 and Barre Fitness once a week.&#038;nbsp; I also walk everyday with my dog.&#038;nbsp; I had a set back in my goals.&#038;nbsp; My hip bursitis has returned.&#038;nbsp; Ouch.&#038;nbsp; I had it 20 years ago.&#038;nbsp; Not sure what brought it on.&#038;nbsp; I have been careful this past week to not make it worse.&#038;nbsp; &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Consequently I only did Flow Yoga this past week.&#038;nbsp; I also walked dog.&#038;nbsp; I am drinking lots of water and talking Flax Seed oil.&#038;nbsp; I feel much better today.&#038;nbsp; &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I am eating the same.&#038;nbsp; No changes.&#038;nbsp; &#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;As I wrote last week, I started a &#034;Game Changer&#034; Challenge at my Bootcamp - it started on Monday the 6th. &#038;nbsp;I had met with my trainer (you are assigned one when participating in the challenge) and we discussed my diet and I pledged to go on a high protein, low carb and fat diet. &#038;nbsp;My problem was that I thought that I just knew what that would entail and didn't really take the time to plan my meals in advance. &#038;nbsp;I figured it would all just work out in the end! &#038;nbsp;Hahahahaha! &#038;nbsp;NOT so! &#038;nbsp;Did you guys know that a&#038;nbsp;&#060;b&#062;pear&#038;nbsp;&#060;/b&#062;- yes, a simple medium-sized pear - has 27 grams of carbs!!!!! &#038;nbsp;I discovered that after I had already eaten it (and thinking that it was a good choice) - totally surprised me! &#038;nbsp;So, that stupid pear took my carbs waaaay over my goal for the day. &#038;nbsp;And, that's just one example of how I messed up my diet this week. &#038;nbsp;Everyday there was something that I ate that sabotaged my good intentions. &#038;nbsp;BUT - I do want to note that I did not have any candy or sweets this week and no Diet Cokes. &#038;nbsp;I usually have a 32 ounce diet coke everyday, along with a movie size box of milk-duds. &#038;nbsp;Yep. Haven't had either for exactly one week now. &#060;br /&#062;&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;On the work-out front, I made it to BootCamp 4 times this week. &#038;nbsp;All of the work-outs felt great (afterwards) but were killer while I was doing them. &#038;nbsp;I really can't wait until I start seeing/feeling like I'm getting into a little better shape. &#038;nbsp;I mean I would really like to spend the last 10 minutes of BootCamp enjoying myself, rather than fighting to keep from puking! &#038;nbsp;;-)

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Back yesterday from 10-day cruise to Mexico. We were second ship to dock at Cabo San Lucas post hurricane. The Coral Princess stopped Oct 2 and we aboard the Star Princess&#038;nbsp;were October 2. Actually, no dock, it is a tender port.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Our ship carried 20 palettes of food, bottled water, medicine and diapers for the folks in Cabo. The supplies had to be unloaded onto boats and carried to land and unloaded again. The Captain said volunteers did the unloading, which I took to mean both crew and some passengers. That made us feel good. The city isn't up for much tourism yet and I'm afraid that the tourists didn't spend a lot of money there, although passengers were anxious to help the locals if they could.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Anyway--6 days at sea and only 4 ports. I meant to check out the fitness center but didn't make it. I'll post photos another day. &#038;nbsp;Just to say it was very hot and incredibly humid and not conducive to doing much. I tried to be moderate in eating but drank a lot of wine and gasp--Amaretto every evening. (My friend calls Amaretto and Frangelico &#034;liquid candy.&#034; Normally I only drink it around New Years. Salty food, carbs and fat, so gained 4 1/2 pounds--it could have been much worse. I expect the weight to drop quickly if I get right back. DH gained 5 pounds and ate 2-3 times as much as I did, but he started out weighing a lot more. We are both motivated.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I strained my back before going and so tried to take it easy and will do so the next day. I was doing some last minute gardening before we left and overdid it. So next week: rest, watch food intake, and gradually move back to exercises.&#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;A good week for me.  I had a minor freak out when I realised two occasion wear dresses were too tight.  So I was great with no sugar or alcohol til the weekend.  And I was very moderate then too.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Did three gym sessions, good walk with a friend and hiked up 1200 steps nearby to a lookout.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Goal is to always look for healthy choices and fit in more incidental exercise on my bike and on foot.  In spring this is easier.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Ugh. &#038;nbsp;Change has been hard. &#038;nbsp;I did get in 2 bike rides and a run last week. &#038;nbsp;No weights. &#038;nbsp;As it gets colder I imagine things will get even harder, as workouts will move indoors and we don't have a gym membership&#038;nbsp;here. &#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;On the upside, my weight plummeted coming home. &#038;nbsp;I always weigh less in Tahoe historically. &#038;nbsp;Found out there is scientific backing as to why. &#038;nbsp;Very interesting. &#060;a rel=&#034;nofollow&#034; href=&#034;http://www.wired.com/2010/02/high-altitude-weight-loss/&#034;&#062;http://www.wired.com/2010/02/h.....ight-loss/&#060;/a&#062;&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;Anyway, went to dinner last night to celebrate 13 years with BF and am up on the scale today. &#038;nbsp;No surprise. &#038;nbsp;Need to hit that home gym we have. &#038;nbsp;No excuses. &#038;nbsp;While the weather holds, want to get in 2 runs per week and at least 2 weight sessions weekly. &#038;nbsp;I will consider anything else a plus  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-smile icon-emoticon-smile "></span>
