It is overwhelming. There have been friends ( both mine and my husband's ) and neighbors who have offered to take vacation time to stay with me. Even our house cleaning service offered 4 free cleanings ! I asked that they pass it on to someone who is not as supported or financially stable as we are. She had her surgery and has started radiation. I dropped off a meal for her and her family this evening and she mentioned she will lose her hair next week. She has gotten a couple of wigs (health insurance covers them!), hats and some nifty scarves and is ready to trot them out.
