I really hope that physio works. I have a herniated disc in my neck that puts pressure on my spinal chord ( going back 10 years ) and I have almost no problem with it after undergoing some intense physio. The pain is hell and you feel as if you are going to lose your mind. Every once in a while I would sleep in a neck brace and that helped me quite a bit.</p> <p>Hang in there and try to tell yourself that it will get better. Surgery is a coin flip. Stay committed to your exercise program, it really does help allieviate pain !!! I know very well how debilitating back injuries can be, because my mom has two herniated discs in her neck, and my daughter's best friend's mother has the same problem with her lower back. Both declined surgery and are now wishing they had done it. My mom is now too old/infirm to attempt surgery, but the friend's mom is still considering it.
