I think that would make all the difference.</p> <p>The skirt is pretty short. I'd try it with tights, but it might just be too short for your comfort. I think a slightly longer black skirt would be so fab with the sweater and boots. </p> <p>ETA: I think a black leather skirt would be a better addition to your wardrobe than the culottes, but I have a poison eye for that particular garment. Overall, I agree with both you and your friend. I do think the neckline + bulk of the sweater isn't the best combo for many of us. Just the bulk with a lower neckline would be good, I think.
