Me Too!!
I enjoy looking, and quite often see something new that I already have in my closet, and I prefer my existing version. This is satisfying indeed!
If it is an improvement I might consider buying and recycling the 'older' item, and this way my closet hopefully doesn't become too large.

I agree with the others. I am very satisfied with my closet and don't really have any needs but I am always looking but not with the same sense of urgency or want as I used to. I am quite happy to just look and not buy these days. As Angie's says for many of us this is a serious hobby or interest and there is pleasure in looking and considering how things can be worn, what we could add for the coming sesason etc. And of course, you just never know when you are going to come across that special peice (a want not a need) you have been holding in the back of your mind for ages and ages:)

Ah, yes, I'm there with you. I know I don't need more. Heck, I'm barely wearing what I've got with my work uniform eating up most of my dressing time. But I also still like to keep an eye out for new pretty things. I try and stick along Angie's lines of one in one out, so I don't get overwhelmed with too much that doesn't get worn. That's the main reason for 12 for 12 this year. Oh, and trying to upgrade the quality of my closet is another major motivator

ha ha...you just described me....I have everything I need for our upcoming long summer but I still go and browse in the shops when I have a few minutes spare. I do it because it is fun and I find it relaxing. I don't always buy..in fact, I don't often buy as I am very picky on what I wear...and I wear everything that I buy and all the clothes I own. I like to look good, and as my husband says I don't drink or smoke so I should indulge in the one thing I really enjoy. Bless him!

Oh! This is so normal, Dana! I LOVE my stuff too! I have everything and need nothing. But I'm always looking at new things because it's fun! Fashion and style is a hobby, (ahem - my profession), and I take great interest in wearing things in new ways - especially with older items. I love shopping! I love fashion. I love style. I love keeping tabs on trends. It's an insatiable part of life. It's like travelling and eating good food - you have so much but I always want more.

I do follow the one in one out wardrobe principle because I cannot handle clutter and having too much stuff.
Well yes, because women like pretty things and it's always good to have more.

Things do wear out and need to be replaced, maybe you are looking for the replacement.
I know what you mean. There's not much that I really need on my "needs" list and I do love what's in my closet now. And really, I'd like to spend money elsewhere. I try to stay off the online sites because it's just too tempting. But I spend a lot of time home alone, at night when DH is at work, so it's sort of a relaxing, time waster. I need to find something more meaningful to do.

Old habit? It is hard to stop when you're used to do it, I think. Shopping doesn't mean buying, so why not?

I love my closet. I really do! And I'm on a budget - which is totally OK, because it means what I buy I must LOVE.

Really I am feeling quite happy and secure in my wardrobe these days. So why do I keep looking for new things?
