I have a Nic & Zoe cardigan in this cut, and I love it -- I get a ton of compliments every time I wear it, and not one, but two people I know went out and bought the same sweater after they saw mine. But it's not as long as the tan one, and the knit of my sweater seems to have a bit more body than the knit of the Nordstrom sweater, so it lays fine. I'm not sure a thinner knit would lay as nicely; it might just look floppy. (Also, I don't have much in the way of, er, "girls," so I appreciate the extra bulk in front!)

I had two of these (Aussie version) but they didn't last long as I was too large busted and the drape being right on the bust didn't create what I thought was a flattering look:(

Why not throw on a bulky cardigan. That's my favorite technique for sneaking somewhere braless for example in a hotel to get ice or coffee. Big lapels and a pattern help a lot.

Traci I saw the Nordstrom one the other day in the lingerie department. I didn't try it on, but I was intrigued by the look of it, and the fabric felt so soft and cozy. It looks like it has snaps at the back of the drape part (in the online photo), and I think I recall seeing them, too. Seems like it would be versatile. It looks longer than the Zella one. I think the Nordstrom one could work well for your purpose, and it would be cozy! It couldn't hurt to give it a try.

I think sometime with lapels like this
http://oldnavy.gapcanada.ca/br.....=596384003
would work better for what you want.
Eta hope everything is well with your family or getting better.

When I had throat surgery, I wore a sports bra. No metal, and I was fine in recovery and at home afterward. A basic one, even sized up, will still give some firmness/support and smoothing. I sleep in a bralette at night, but would hate to wear it under a tee; the shape is semi-supported but rather strange.

Traci I totally get it. I hope you find something that works. I usually put my arms over the girls in those situations but in reality it probably draws more attention that way. Wish there was an easy solution. Take care.

Yeah, I do that sometimes, but there are times when you've been sleeping on a crappy loveseat for 4 days and you just say "f" it and throw your bralette in the suitcase to sleep comfortably:)

Maybe you could wear a soft bralette or something of the sort. I'm sure you already considered this though :(

Ahhh, thanks.

Well, I definitely don't fall into the category of "taller person."

I was hoping this would fill a weird wardrobe hole I'm having of "pretend noone can notice I'm not wearing a bra right now." When I'm staying in the hospital with my daughter overnight, at some point I have to get comfortable for bed and take off my bra, but from time to time I have to run out of the room for ice water or a popsicle. In those instances I've been throwing on a drapey cardigan that I pretend covers my front enough that no passers by (there aren't many) notice that my ladies are riding low. I thought this could be a chicer option. Alas, I guess not.

I tried the first one on and felt it was very hard to keep "just so" - it doesn't just fall into place and arrange itself, and if it doesn't lay right, you get a big U of fabric like you could carry an infant in it. Maybe it's better on a taller person.

I really like the cream Nordstrom wrap cardi in finds below. I noticed the Zella cardigan can be worn open or wrapped and wondered if the Nordstrom wrap is the same. Has anyone seen this? I prefer the drape of the Nordstrom wrap, but if it doesn't have the versatility I'd probably just get the Zella.

thanks!
