I have been using zoe eyelash growth serum from Mickey Alan Kravitz. it is the best i have used and i have tried a lot. Its priced in the middle range, dose not burn my eyes and people think they are fake a lot of the time. If you use it twice a day you will be a big change after about a month. The bottle last me about a month using twice a day and I have been using it for about 6 months

I get it from amazon

Love Dermalmd Lash Growth Serum!! My daughter told me about Dermalmd Serum, after I was unable to get the serum I had be using any longer. I've been using it about 2 months now and can definitely see an improvement in the length of my lashes! Such a reasonable price compared to other serums!

Ooh, I am glad it is working for you! I've been using Latisse since mid-December, and I notice a difference. Of course, I forgot to take before pictures, too, but previously I barely had lashes long enough to use a curler on. I'd always pinch skin because they were so short I couldn't get to the middle of them without pinching skin. Now I can curl them midway or at the ends, or wherever! I do notice a slight darkening of the SKIN along my top lashes, but that mimics neutral shadow, which doesn't bother me at all. I also notice mild eye dryness, but I generally only notice that when I am in bed reading after midnight (when I am likely too tired to be reading anyway). I think that soon I will slow down to every other day, but I will likely continue using it. I am still on the first bottle, and I use one applicator for both eyes and not one for each eye (less waste).

Marley, I don't know how much Latisse is - this tube was $100 and is still going strong, but I think once I'm through the recommended course of 6 weeks I will do every other day as well. One side seems a little better than the other, but that's how it goes. I alternate which eye I start with but I think my left side is just dominant!

Una - I used to use Latisse and absolutely loved it! (The only reason that I stopped is due to the cost. Boo!) Anyway, I had strangers coming up to me and telling me how beautiful and long and thick my eyelashes were - the difference was amazing! I only applied it every other day and never noticed any discoloring of my eyes (a little bit of "browning" right at my lash line - but no one would even notice it unless I pointed it out to them.) I would use it again if it wasn't so expensive. Are the other products any cheaper?

Update: the stuff I bought is working! My lashes are longer and curling up noticeably. I wish I had taken pictures at the start so I could get a more accurate sense of the difference but I can tell regardless. It's been 3 weeks and it says 4 weeks for real results so I am excited! No redness or irritation so far....

I was considering trying a brand called LashFood which is selling for $80. I was reading about Latisse and the article said it was $120 for a month's supply and required a prescription. It sounds like folks here are having luck with the over the counter brands, right? I wonder if they use the same chemicals?

I have always wanted to try Rapid Lash, but the store was always out of it. For the longest time, my lashes looked thin and sparse so I decided not to wear mascara everyday and within a short period of time they really grew in nice and full. The only thing is that I wish they were darker. '

Does the Rapid Lash or the MD Lash also darken your lashes?

I think I'm seeing a difference in length already! I am hoping for more thickness because length is an issue with glasses. Also one side seems to be growing faster than the other. I try to alternate sides every night to be even (so start with left one night, right the next) but it could just be like hands and feet where we are a little asymmetrical. My hair grows much faster and thicker on the left side of my head (I'm a lefty). Thanks for all the great tips!

I'm an infrequent commenter but thought I'd share. I have used Latisse in the past, stopped using it, and then started again. I stopped because my derm stopped carrying it (no issues, she just wanted to have a medical only practice). I started again because my new derm carries it.

It really does work. I use one drop every other day or so, and apply with a non-latisse brush. You can find cheap very fine disposable eyeliner brushes on amazon or ebay. I drop my one drop into the lid of the latisse bottle and dip my little brush in. Then I line just the base of my top lashes. Any extra wetness on my brush gets applied to my eyebrows.

Last time I used Latisse every day, my lashes actually got too long and were causing my mascara to leave little marks on my upper eyelid. That's why I'm using it every other day this time.

I have not had any pigmentation effects in my light greenish blue eyes. I do have some very slight eyelid redness right at the lash line but I wear eyeshadow base every day anyway so it covers it.

I don't find a lot of thickening effect, just lengthening. So I still wear mascara and usually a bit of eyeliner.

The last bottle I bought was the 'six month' size for $170. So the way I use it (one drop per day at most) it should last a year or so. Worth it to me.

Good thread - there are a lot of options here I haven't heard of. I eyed Latisse for a while before deciding my budget was better suited towards other things.

If mascara smudging is your concern, you might want to give the original Blinc a try. No smudging, no flaking, cry and sweat proof. It lengthens and defines brilliantly, but doesn't add as much volume if that is your concern. Blinc amplified is better a volume and layering, but I find it does flake a little and isn't as waterproof.
http://www.sephora.com/blinc-m.....d=50233217

I would love darker lashes. I hate taking mascara off. But I am terrified of my eyes turning colour. I have seen lash serums but I worry too much. Maybe I will look at the one some blue/green eyes women have tried with success.

Strawberry.net is just another online cosmetics joint but I see that they are no longer selling Li Lash. Looks like they have seen the light and taken over their own distribution. That's possibly why you could be finding it hard to get??

What people have said about other products is true of LL i.e. needs a bit of discipline but I found the results so rapid - that, well we all know the effect of results on our ability to stick to routines.
PS I have no relationship to the manufacturers of Li Lash or their pets.

The active ingredient in Latisse caused increased iris pigmentation in fewer than 3% of people who apply drop directly onto the cornea (in fewer than 1%, depending on the study). There has never been a documented case where Latisse (applied as directed to the lash line) has caused increased iris pigmentation. And as other have mentioned, it is a non-issue for those with dark eyes to begin with. But the power of suggestion is tremendous, and thus countless people are convinced that Latisse will turn every blue eyed person brown. The scientific studies simply don't bear that out.

I am currently using Latisse, but I only began a few weeks ago and see little real difference yet. I used RapidLash to great effect, but that was before it was reformulated, and after the reformulation it did nothing for me. I will keep you posted as to any results I see, though.

My sister is in derm, so she gave me a sample to try last year. Apparently the only time it's changed eye colour was when people put it in their eyes as eye drops daily for a long period of time (I was very concerned about that; my sister said it was originally developed to treat an eye condition and those drug trials are the source of the colour change). It made a big different on my short to average eyelashes (which are brown at the base & blonde at the tips, making them look even shorter): within a week they were longer, thicker, and darker. After about three weeks I accidentally confused the Latisse bottle with a different med and touched it to my toenails, at which point I obviously could no longer use it. (Whoops!) I'd definitely use it again given the chance, especially since I loathe mascara (why does it only come in shades of black? and then taking it off at night is such a hassle). And that's coming from someone with a quite hippie, laid back approach to beauty stuff (hair & makeup).

My nail salon sells Li Lash and I've not tried it but the women who wear it at the salon have amazing lashes, so it's tempting. My eyes are dark brown so any color change/darkeneing would be irrelevant for me.

Yes, it was me....I loved Latisse and felt it did more to wake up my whole face than anything else. I got the eyelid irritation but not too bad and eyeshadow covered it just fine. But then I did start to notice my eye color looking different...the brown specs were blurring into the green more and making the green look less green.

It was subtle, not huge, and I could just be imagining it. No one else noticed. And other fabbers told me eye color fluctuates normally anyway. So I can't say flat out it happened. But I decided not to risk it progressing so I stopped the Latisse. And yes, back to my normal stubby eyelashes in about a month.

Carter...is the RapidLash the same drug as Latisse or something different?

I was curious and asked my dermatologist BIL about Latisse recently. Apparently it does work very well, but you have to remember to apply it daily for something like 12 weeks straight, and then you have to keep using it forever (but most people can get away with not doing the maintenance every single day) or it will reverse.
I also learned that you can't use it on lower lashes, which is what I would be interested in, as I have virtually none.
And eye color could change, but only if you have light colored eyes (so would not be an issue for you or me.) It could increase brown pigment but if your eyes are already brown there is no issue.

Anyway, I don't think it would be right for me but I am told it does work.

I tried Latisse a couple years ago, but it required regular twice daily applications. I never remembered to do it at night and only remembered mornings 4-5 days/week. This method did not work with Latisse.

However, I bought RapidLash at Costco ($50/2 tubes) this past Summer, and my sporadic method of application has produced much, much thicker, longer lashes. I don't remember how long it took to see results, but I also don't remember the last time I felt like I needed mascara:-). For reference, I bought the stuff in late July, and I'm still on the first tube. One other thing...Latisse had stupid little applicators and a separate bottle. Drove me nuts. Rapidlash looks like a mascara tube. You just unscrew the wand and apply.

I got a full size sample of Elizabeth Arden's Prevage growth serum as a GWP and am currently using it on my brows. Apparently takes at least 2 weeks to see visible results. I'm cynical, but trying it.

I think it was Peri who posted about Latisse previously. I may be incorrect but she may have mentioned her eye colour changed?

Haven't tried Latisse but I have bought Li Lash online through Strawberry.net and it really does work. Comes in serum and also a mascara formula.

I recently noticed and commented on a friend's amazing lashes, and she told me it wasn't mascara but Li Lash. Apparently this is not sold in the US any more but she has a tube from before then.

Has anyone had any success or bad experiences with Latisse or other formulas?
