I think it's an old man's trick because it started when trousers weren't slim-cut, but preserving the crease was important. ;) I have done it myself, for sure!

Thanks Ladies!
Yeah, doesn't work with skinnies. I usually just do this when sitting down in dress pants or regular jeans. I find it is easier to cross my legs with out the pants pulling on the knees too.
If the pants are an ankle cut or mid leg capri, I usually just tuck the pant with my fingers without pulling up any to prevent the legs from riding to high up my calf.

Haha, this is an old man's trick. I used to see my granddad do it all the time. ;-)

It doesn't work very well with tight jeans though. They're hard to pull up. Instead, I iron the knees before the next wear. :-)

I do this with straighter cuts, but cannot with skinnies due to large calves. The other issue is that I like to sit with a leg tucked under me (short = dangling legs) or crosslegged if in the car and not driving, and that definitely doesn't help the bagging...probably why I love my harem pants so much!

No, but I'm going to start. I hate when the knees of my jeans get baggy. Great advice!

Yes men do this a lot too. I find it more comfortable to sit down.

Yep, I do this, too. I think men do it a lot. Not sure it's for the same reason, but just something I noticed.

If you are like most women, you have problems with your pants developing baggy knees from sitting down. I have discovered that before you sit, down all you have to do is pull your pant legs up some just before you sit down. You don't have to hike a ton of material up, just drop your hands down by your thigh area, grab your pants, curl your fingers and pull up a little. If your legs are under a table, it will allow you to hike them up a little higher though. What do you think? Do you also do this too?
