I would never say their buyers have lost their edge. I noticed a definite upward trend recently. They are listing a lot of high end designers they didn't carry before (at least online). It could be that all the sources just happened to do a lot of same looks but since Nordstrom does so much private label, I was a bit surprised at the lack of differentation.<br /> I have faith that it was a seasonal thing - yesterday I was in Macy's/JCP and a fairly large mall and nothing looked particularly stand out. Essentially buyers will look over on what items are selling best and it maybe not items that are edgy or trendy. I have to say that when I lived in MN, I hardly ever bought clothes from Nordstroms because I found it to be so boring. However, the big difference I see is what's stocked in different store locations. Mostly I shop in Via C and Savvy. But last season and so far into this season I haven't seen a lot of pieces that have wowed me. I find myself trolling other websites more often. I see trends in other stores much earlier than when they come into Nordstrom. </p>
