I find the fit of Joe's to run big in general- a 24 is too big

Both jeans are an extremely dark blue wash without any distressing. As far as the style, both jeans are "Honey" fit in bootcut. The Honey comes in 3 versions: skinny, bootcut, and shorts. They should be almost identical, so Im not sure why there's such a huge difference in size.

Is it the exact same style and wash?

I find that wash affects size considerably. A different wash often means a different denim weight, treatment, and spandex content that makes the fit completely different.

I know what your thinking btw, I probably could have answered this question myself if I had just tried on a size 28 again, but I was convinced that it would not fit. I popped the zipper on my old pair, lol

I recently had to start buying my favorite jeans in a larger size *cough*, but the fit itself somehow seems to be different. It could just be that my body has changed, of course, or that the "space" between their sizes is greater than I thought. Anyway I went from wearing a VERY tight, but otherwise surprisingly flattering, size 28, to a baggy size 29 that's gaping a little at the waist. I wouldn't except any gaping in a "booty fit" jean, let alone one that fit me so well just one size ago. Since the entire jean is pretty loose, I'm leaning toward the idea that they may have changed the numbering of their sizes. Does anyone else have any more info?
