I later learned that the Talbots' employees came in after that holiday weekend to over 75,000 individual orders as a result and a staffing and inventory nightmare -- as you can imagine. Aside from the normal delay (shipping from the U.S.) the parcel came in good time. And their customer service was fabulous! I ordered 2 items at full price, then before I received the order they had a 30% off sale. I went online with one of their customer reps and asked how I might get the discount, and right away she emailed me back that they had applied the credit to my Visa.
