Sarah, when you cut it, how did you keep the side seam from coming unraveled?

I'm also petite and bought the petite size. I like being able to fold the waist over to adjust length on the fly, depending on what shoes I wear

I am petite, and bought the regular size and just cut it. It's absolutely fine (the petite size was too bum-hugging for me).

Thanks ladies. I didn't even think about the taper! I will play with it a little and see if I can manage without hemming.

But good to know I can hem without losing taper or drape. Thanks!

I have the vc tube skirt in regular but am short. So far I haven't hemmed it because of exactly what Suz said regarding the taper. I have rolled the top down to get the right length. Not a perfect solution but works as a short term measure.

I hemmed mine last year. Several others just cut the hems.

I worried about that because I was concerned I'd lose the taper. So I took it to my seamstress thinking she could shorten it from the waist. Well, she decided to hem it instead, and it hasn't seemed to have hurt it either way (drape or taper). I will say that in a few photos you can see some pulling around my knee area sometimes. But I think that's just because the photos were taken right after sitting for a long time in a car or something like that. The fabric adjusts itself.

no, but I'm planning buying one and as I'm petite, I will probably need to hem it. I ask to finish the hem. They know how to do without damaging the drape

I love the skirt but -- being petite -- I have to hike it up to just under my bra to achieve the correct midi length. And I even bought the PS!

So, I'm considering hemming the skirt. Has anyone done so already, and if so, did you keep the unfinished hem, or did you finish it?

I will ask my tailor for her recommendation, but just curious to know what others have done. (I think she will recommend to finish the hem, and I'm not sure if that will negatively impact the nice drape of the skirt.) TIA!
