Thanks for the replies. I haven't come to any conclusions. I guess I must not want it bad enough! Interesting some people...and I've watched several reviews...say it is low pain and other say otherwise. Rachylou and kellygirl, I would want the experience you've heard about!

Chouette22, I read the links...thanks...and they actually gave me the opposite impression. She seemed to experience some definite down time. And her pictures are giving me the most to think about. Frankly, she looked better before! One of the things I was wondering was how they could make it a smooth whole-area loss, and not something lumpy...well, she looked pretty lumpy! Maybe that was too soon after...maybe she should post a 3 month update.

3style...yes, I've absolutely been talking to the major dermatology practice in the area for this treatment. I've been to an info seminar and had a consult. Some people at the seminar made appointments right then...I'm obviously more chicken than some!

My dermatologist has a poster promoting it in her office. She is not specifically a cosmetic dermatologist. If you have a dermatologist you should ask for their opinion.

Nikki of Midlifechic wrote a very descriptive post on this procedure (it was offered to her and she decided to go for it), what it entails exactly, the pain she felt, etc.: https://www.midlifechic.com/coolsculpting-review/. A few weeks later she posted a progress update: https://www.midlifechic.com/co.....ss-update/.

My SIL did it. She works in advertising for a radio station so she was offered the treatment for free to try it out. I believe it often takes more than one visit--she said it was painless. The results aren't immediate but she was happy with it. I'm not sure if some areas are better suited to treatment than others. Certainly worth investigating especially since it's non invasive.

Haven’t done it, but there’s a plastic surgeon locally who comes on tv and it seems painless. Zero downtime...

I'm so tempted, but worried about whether it hurts, and for how long.
