Sveta, I have the blue J.Crew merino tunic sweater and like it very much. It is very lightweight and soft, great for those transitional weather days. It works well for my IT body type. The longer length and straight cut balance out my broad shoulders. Looks great with skinny jeans and leggings. Hope it works out for you!

Ha. I never even heard of J Crew until I had DILs to dress me. My husband and sons thought Marmot and North Face were high fashion labels when they bought me Christmas presents! I'm making up for lost time here.

Gaylene, you know that you have started something crazy here, don't you? Me, Sveta, and now Elizabeth, too? J. Crew is going to be wondering what is going on with the Canadian contingent....

OK, I can help you with the embroidered front T because I have its twin in my closet--only mine is in the paler grey embroidery. It is a nice fluid fit in my regular J Crew size so I wouldn't size up. The front isn't stiff so it is easy to wear and looks dressy enough to wear under a jacket.

To the best of my recollection, the nickel shade is a paleish grey--almost silvery because of the lustre of the cashmere texture.

I am sitting here with a finger over the checkout button and cannot make up my mind. If only those JCrew returns were not so ridiculously expensive!!!
I like the cashmere sweater on you but not sure about this color. It looks like off white or pale grey - not sure they are good for me...
SkiDiva's report did make me to remove the tunic from my cart but maybe for $45 it is ok to wear with cami?
I also have this tee and sweater in my cart. The sweater is available in XL only and some review say it runs big. It is not as thin as Tippi so I am not sure how well it will drape...
grrr! Make up your mind, girl! I thjink I ned some hand holding or spanking here! 20 min left...

Okay. I have not seen the exact sweaters but have some added info.

1. The tunic sweater is a slightly different blue but the same fabrication as my V neck J. Crew lightweight merino sweater. SkiDiva is correct that it is very lightweight. I have only worn my V neck with something underneath as the V is so deep I can't really wear it otherwise. But I like it so much I went ahead and ordered the tunic. (At that price, what is to lose? I will wear it as loungewear if nothing else!) Also, the sweater drapes very nicely. I sized up in this one for the V neck but had to order my regular size in the tunic since that's all that was left. I think going up one size from normal should be fine in this, due to the drape.

2. I have not seen that nickel colour, but I love the quality of the collection cashmere sweater. It is not as heavy a gauge as my oversized framed cashmere sweater from J. Crew; nor is it quite as oversized. It has a slight hi-low hem. It is the kind of sweater that would be perfect for early spring in our climate -- late February through mid-April, when you are sick and tired of wearing dark colours and heavy weights but still require warmth. It could also go on for a cool summer night -- not the kind we get in humid Ontario (most summers) but if you were in cottage country, or the mountains, or at the beach. This blue is one size up from my normal -- I wanted a slightly oversized fit, and achieved it. But I would have also fit my regular size.

Does that enable you fully?

I forgot to add that I took the same size that I usually wear in the Tippi, but I would also have been fine going down one size.

I own the tunic sweater in a couple of colors. I love the shape of it, and it does drape very nicely. A couple caveats, though. I've found that they pill more than my Tippi sweaters. Also, I wore one of them without a layer underneath, and within a couple of hours (and this was the first time I had worn it) it had developed those small holes where the waistband of my jeans rubbed against it, so they are VERY delicate. The other one I have always worn with a cami underneath, and I haven't had any holes develop yet. I like them enough that I would be tempted to get the red color if it popped back in my size, since they are currently at a very good price, but I can't give them an unconditional recommendation.

I blame Gaylene, Inge and Suz for this JCrew addiction. What I can do, I am weak!

I would like to get advantage of free shipping today and consider these 2 sweaters. As I have never seen them or tried them on I am not sure about the color or fit or style...
For the merino tunic color looks like no brainier to me but I am not sure about the style. Looks like it is extremely lightweight - thinner than Tippi sweaters - so hopefully will drape well. Anybody tried it on?
For the cashmere sweater I got fit tips from Suz but I am not sure if the color is good for me. Is it off white? Very pale grey? Again anybody seen it?
I have 1 hour to order...unless they will disappear earlier...
