Marley, I completely understand. I'm a total impulse buyer and emotional shopper as well.

Angie - YES I would love that! So, where do I start? Shall I inventory what I already have in my closet? - or???
Alaskagirl - thanks for the supportive comment. Hanging around here the last few weeks, I am so impressed with the way people actually PLAN what they are going to add to their wardrobe! That is such a novel thought to me - and I feel a little embarrassed and ashamed that I am such an impulse buyer.
Rute - you made me chuckle! I know what you mean by the title of the book, but this is a really serious issue for me and I have GOT to get control of myself!

Marley, I feel similarly sometimes. Not so much buying more than I need, but splurging randomly, without a plan, and then feeling guilty, overwhelmed, and frustrated. So I have lots of items I love, but nothing that goes together. BLAH.

I've already gained so much just hanging around here and seeing other people be deliberate about their choices. I'll have to check out that book. Just wanted to let you know I sympathize.

The Shopping Diet by Philip Bloch (I think that's his last name.) I'm wondering if it is worth reading? I really struggle with buying more than what I need - sometimes it is a way to deal with other anxieties/worries in my life; sometimes its because I just WANT it; and sometimes I use shopping as a recreational activity or a social activity. Anyone else? Any other books/resources out there to help with this kind of issue?
