She’s going to borrow my Uniqlo puffer as a layer and bring a hip length jacket or coat. What a fun wardrobe wildcard!</p> <p>Travelling to cooler temps is tricky because I really feel the cold, far more so than the locals. However, when I do lots of walking that keeps me warm, so wearing layers is useful to adjust to the changing temperatures during the day and evening (when it really gets cold). What Angie suggested: thin down jacket (short) to layer under a<br /> wool coat would be good, or a leather jacket. Bring a beanie and gloves.<br /> And a lightweight scarf.<br /> I always use a crossbody bag to keep hands free.<br /> If she’s going to be inside, or on the subway, she doesn’t want to be schlepping a big puffer coat in her arms. Pulling out all the stops today (Boss is out of town.) LOL. DH did a double take and then said, well, you can pull it off. Lots of funny comments at work today but it was love at first sight when I saw this print. It's basically a neutral, I'm pretty sure. </p> <p>The question: DD is going to NY at the end of March/first week of April and she's going back and forth on coats. The weather says 40s and 50's during the day--does she need a long puffer for sight seeing? Is it that kind of cold or just lots of layers kind of cold? Neither of us have anything suitable for non-CA winters so any suggestions would be welcome. TIA! </p>
