My mind was a bit of mush and I spend most<br /> of my summer holidays in yoga pants or shorts. I also injured my back in<br /> lockdown so I’ve been a bit preoccupied with getting it better but I’m working<br /> with a physio on my posture so it doesn’t happen again. &nbsp; Thank<br /> you for the recent inspiration for the word and colour. I have been reading<br /> other peoples' posts enjoying the ideas and want to respond soon. &nbsp; I did have two words in my head before the new year;&nbsp; “please myself’ but<br /> decided on the word “authentic” as in being your authentic self, means being<br /> true to yourself which might mean pleasing yourself at times too. &nbsp; It also represents the discarding of things<br /> you don’t need or don’t feel resonate with you anymore, being original and not a fake.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The colour I am picking is orange because it is a bright<br /> enthusiastic colour, and I did start wearing orange last year and everyone said<br /> how nice it looked etc. Orange represents adventure and spontaneity so that<br /> sounds fun too. I’m not going to be a<br /> sudden convert and wear full outfits of orange but I’m going to inject it in my<br /> wardrobe in small ways such as adding in a scarf, t-shirt etc. I also thought<br /> it would work with the new grey hair which may not work as well with an all black wardrobe as the blonde did. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;As far as style goals go, I<br /> want to keep my wardrobe small, but make it more workable.<br /> I want to stay with the goal of more dresses and skirts (but I don't think I need to buy any at this stage) and keep jeans<br /> for just casual out of work clothes but definitely skirts with swagger. Other goals are to inject more colour (pops<br /> of colour) in my mainly black wardrobe, buy clothes that are sustainable, and more natural fibres and add some polish. &nbsp;So swagger with a bit of polish.. &nbsp;I have no WIWs at the moment but I do a lot of<br /> walking in the holidays and my friend snapped these two photos, one in my<br /> orange shirt and another one that I have blown up as an inspiration photo of me<br /> walking out into yonder (2022..LOL).&nbsp; These are both in different locations near my home.&nbsp; Happy New Year to you all!</p> </p>
