I think “duck shoes” started out as a negative way to describe a new style he wasn't too sure about, but somewhere along the way, as his eye adjusted, has become a positive adjective to describe, I think, any shoe he likes. Ah, YLFers and the SOs who love them.</p> <p>GirlX, I would say you have your bases covered to visit Germany. They seem to take birthday wishing very seriously here. Seriously! It’s very important to congratulate people on their birthday with a firm handshake :o) And of course sausage is one of the main things to eat. Sausage and beer.
